The alternator wire to the dash side bulkhead connector was loose and shorted out.

Were you guys able to duplicate the factory insulation around the crimp for that wire?

I think we are going to preempt that on the Coronet and Swinger. Besides the Coronet is getting the alternator that came with the magnum engine

Hope I am not jinxing myself but if I EVER have trouble with "THAT WIRE", it's comin OUT of the firewall connector and through the firewall "RAT" by itself.
The one on my car doesn't look pretty - probably from when I had to charge off the alternator after getting a jump start.
My car doesn't need to be 100% original so I'll going to add a parallel wire this winter.
Of course I lots of plans for the winter - we'll see which ones get done. LOL.

I used to have a picture at work of my older son helping me build a Hemi for my dad when he was 4 years old... He liked using the speed nut driver (worked like a hand drill) when we were changing a trans pan gasket....

It had the text, "Building his first Hemi at 4 years old"....

We get fuel from 220' supply boat once or twice a month, we get groceries in a container from them once a week. We make our own water with a reverse osmosis desalinization system. It makes about 8 gallons per minute.

My buddy Doug uses a reverse osmosis to treat the water for his 300 gallon salt water fish tank....

Back when cars were cool and houses were simple. I see most houses in that photo have very tall TV Antenna Towers to pick up the tv signals from the nearby cities. Before cable TV, dish network, and the internet. Lol . . .

My dad had a rotator on our tv antenna where we had a box with a dial and we marked what position each channel came in the clearest... Then when we watched that channel, we rotated the dial to that position and there was an electric motor on the antennae that would rotate it to that position...

Then along came the big satellite dishes.
