Stop in for a cup of coffee

Prob not the time to ask this but here we go
Any one know the lengths of oil pump drives?

Why even run points? No condenser they will pit

Well, if the points only trigger the electronics they will run for a very long time, either with or without the capacitor. Then, if the points and condenser is there, and the ECU goes bad, it is an easy task to get the car running again. And no need for getting a new distributor. However, I see your point, it is a valid question. And I guess an electronic distr. would last even longer. But then, how will the advance be, will it be just like the one I have and fit the engine perfectly ?

I switched back to points on the polara. Thanks to a Hoppy tuned dizzy. why? because I could and I wanted to learn something new.

The advance will be whatever Hoppy says it is! He is the dizzy wizard!

If I went with a Mopar ECU, the only thing I would be looking for was the possibility for a high voltage coil and therefore a bigger spark plug gap. If I can not have a higher voltage and a bigger spark plug gap, I rather stay with points. The tune up of a gas engine is among my biggest pleasures in life. Ok ok, does not take much to please me, I know, rub it in if you want. :D

Doubt you will get one off the shelf but easy to recurve even Craig could do it! Use the same springs and ask me for a cam with the same slots. Who knows what happens if you ask nicely!

How many miles a year you talking?

Back from the countertop shop, wife found stuff she liked so I'm happy.

I am kind of an odd duck when it comes to asking. I have no problem asking nicely if I first ask. But, I have a tendency of not asking at all because I do not want to bother anyone with my issues. And if I ask, I always ask what the price is, and agree about it before the service is given.
