Question: Does anyone know if there are any thin clear plastic with adhesive on to put on top of a lable ? I want to print out some lables, and Staples have sheet with lables in different kinds. But, I only have an ink jet printer, and I think water and soap will wash off the ink. So, if possible, I want to print out a whole bunch of them, and if I have a thin plastic foil with adhesive on to cover the entire sheet, that would be nice.

What type of labels? What application?

I woke up at 2:30 and tried to go to my recliner, but can't get comfortable enough to get back to sleep...

Plus my poison ivy is back on my forearms and top of my legs and is bothering me... I'm almost out of the ointment the Dr. prescribed and looked up some home remedies and trying one of them... apple cider vinegar and water 3 - 4 times per day...

I know it's rather inconvenient you being in Illinois and all and I'm not sure if the remedy would have the same effect on poison ivy. Sea water knocks poison oak out pretty much instantly, I've seen it with my own eyes. I was skeptical when I first heard about it, but it does work.

A decal to put on my oil filter. Something like the one in the picture, but that is the wrong decal for a 1965 Dodge Dart. The Dart should have the oil changed every 4000 miles, and the filter changed every other oil change, so 8000 miles. Personally I always change filter and oil at the same time, but that is me.

Ddaddy, as I am studying your car build do you have a fan clutch or a direct drive fan. Was listening to it when you were on your test drive in the video?
Thinking it is a direct drive 7 blade fan by the sound of it.

I was looking at it also...

The radiator looks like the 70's style, not like the 67 - 68 rounded top tank... I thought that they used the rounded tanks in 69 also and changed to the more square tanks in 70 when they changed to the aluminum water pump...

But if it was a 70 radiator with a cast iron water pump, the lower radiator hose will be on the opposite side.... :BangHead:

Let me see if I can help clear up any confusion. The original 340 Engine threw a rod and windowed the block about 10 years before I got the car. The previous owner bought a new Mopar Performance 420 HP 360 Magnum crate engine and had it installed. At that time, the radiator was replaced with a 22” wide 4 core for a ‘70-‘72 B/E body big block as recommended by Mopar Performance for that engine in this application. The fan is a 7 blade clutch fan.

Will be only for private use, not for sale :D

Usually the ink from an inkjet printer runs when wet. I'm not sure on your labels though.

Actually, I want a decal that is clear plastic, that I can print with my inkjet printer. Now, if I could only find the right design for that decal. I suspect the decal above was for the cars with oil filter cartridges, and not the spin on types.

That decal is correct for the spin on filter and your 65 Dart. It was a generic decal across all models placed on the inner fender, not on the oil filter itself. The owners manual oil change interval recommendations superceeded the information on it.

Today's activity at the oval track. If it was more specific about the schedule, I would check it out. I don't see me spending 12 hours there though.

Ok, but I was looking for the decal on the filter itself.

There wasn’t a decal on the filter. The image was printed on the filters back then like this...

Oh, there it is. I could not find a decent picture of it. The picture in the shop manual is taken from an angle. So, the picture I posted was the closest I found. From the shop manual I realised it was painted on, but that would be a tad tricky for "home brewing".

Rad is in. Just need to cobble up some hoses. Then alt and belt

and if i wanted, the hand crank will fit below rad. Bonus!

Time to switch off, go get a load of wood pellets and start on fitting things into quonset.

New equipment on the way.
OMM got himself a metal stamp set for stamping sheet metal vin's. (that's a slippery slope there)
How could you remove the old stamping so you could stamp new numbers?

Put new metal in "I guess"? I would endorse that if for instance they are say replacing maybe "ONE OR TWO PLACES" on the car where the VIN "WAS". From there, the question to me would become, is the car "STILL A CAR" anymore, because it would have to be pretty tore up.

I question the legality of it. I don’t know if that would fall under the law that says you cannot reproduce a VIN. I get that it’s on sheet metal but the fed law requires VINs on multiple parts of the body so I can’t imagine re stamping would be ok.

I don't know either. But then that "ain't our problem", is it? lol

Just paid the cable bill. Wish I could get fast internet without paying those thieves.
