Stop in for a cup of coffee

I don't mess with those ancient starters that weigh more than I do, so I bought this on evil bay but for some reason it doesn't look like the right starter.

Does it look legit to you guys??

I'm going to start using the newer smaller versions because i like the increased torque and faster turning start ups. Really helps in the cold. I also want as reliable as possible.

What do you think about this brake and fuel line flaring kit? Was looking at buying it.
FAIRMOUNT® Hydraulic Flaring Tool
Will it do everything you want it to?
IIRC fuel lines use inverted flare 37*
And will some lines be stainless?

I think this is current version of the non-hydraulic flaring set I bought which does do 37*
Was Imperial Eastman
might be the same as @Tooljunkie has
2000-FS Flarepro™ Four-In-One Flaring & Swaging Kit - Imperial Tools
but I vaguely recall it doesn't include something the hydraulic kit included.

A few things to consider, not knowing the bore of your single master, i will go with the 1.25” one in my fargo. When switching to dual you will want to go to a smaller bore. Dual masters displace 2x roughly what single lines do.
The common one used in the conversions is 15/16” bore.
That matches pedal travel and feel.
Im considering trying the 3/4” one i have on a power brake setup from a pt cruiser. Its disc /drum but i think an add on residual valve on the disc part (front) will solve excessive pedal travel.
Disc brakes are 3-5 psi where drums are 10. Someone please correct me if im wrong.
Higher psi holds against return springs to reduce full return of shoes thus reducing pedal travel.
Disc brake calipers require less pressure to keep pads from moving away from rotor.
Sounds right to me. Some calipers don't need any any reisdual valve. None of the systems Chrysler used in the 60 and 70s had a reisdual for the front disks. I think even a light valve might have caused dragging.

I am gathering scamp parts. This is the new dash for the car, just needs some modifications first and I found a frame bracket thingy for the z bar..... kinda need that.

Did it come with the nut for the solenoid connection?
It may be metric.
I *might* have written it down when I had mine apart.
let me know if you want me to look. No promises I can find it fast but ti was something I noted.
Can also see what ASP sells as replacements

Where'd everybody go ? Think I'll go get a Beer and take a dip in the Pool. !!!
