Stop in for a cup of coffee

There are too many parts needed that are not being made and likely never will be. If some of them don't get parted, others don't get done. Do what you gotta do. They are yours. No apologies...
Ok, I'm temporary parting my other non runner, I intend to buy those items later but if i add up how much to buy everything now.....I don't have the money.

Cheaper and faster to rob it from another non runner and replace it later, and have a running car now.

After the duster is functional, I'm going to put the mopar stuff away and temporarily turn the shop into the rouge west Ford assembly plant for awhile

What is this 'Ford" thing you speak of? Do they make vacuum cleaners? I figured they must, as references to them say they suck...:rolleyes:

It's still there and has been updated. Too bad chryco didn't live and update the same way

The best 2 valve motors to have were the 99-04 4.6's as they had the P.I. (power improved) heads and intake. Big performance difference. Not a bad motor though.

The truth of the deal, is the mustang isn't mine. If I put it together and get it running with the mods the guy wants then the mark 8 and mark parts car is mine. Seems easy enough and I think I got a deal because the guy is not as mechanically inclined as I am so that's my advantage.

I'm not into it for any money, only my time so it's kinda win / win for me because I want to do it and would've probably done it for free because I have wanted a mechanical challenge. So him pretty much paying me with the other cars to do it is just an extra perk.

The engine has to come out and gone through and lightly modified, and put back In the car.

How hard is that, plus I will get familiar with something new.

Just remember as well a lot of the engine bolts are torque to yield.
To me, bolts are everything. I even think the earth is bolted to space. LoL

So now, when I assemble my mopars like the duster, I'm putting a daub of the light loc tite on EVERYTHING!!

I took a 96 Honda accord apart and I swear every bolt was coated with anti rattle loc tite, type coating. As a result, the car never rattled or made noises and had a quality feel. So I've been implementing that idea and I'm happy with it so far.

On the duster, I'm going through and bolt matching to make sure all the correct bolts are where they're supposed to be and the head markings match. It's a time consuming thing but it pisses me off when I work on cars with bolts from anywhere and everywhere.

As far as motor coming out think Mopar and drop the K member. I have found also that you want to install the exhaust manifolds outside of the car. Headers will be a challenge getting the bolts tight if installed inside the car.

So where's the Chicago midnight nachos??

@krazykuda
