KFI was and still is a civil defense station. AM640. 50 thousand watts!!I don't recall that one. Not very many stations had the power to get over the mountains to us. KFI being a big exception. We listened to Loman and Barkley on a hunting trip in Colorado

I went to the Fastenal up here once to get some bolts for my race kart. Looked all over the store and didn't find what I was looking for. I asked the guy at the counter, "I've got those, how many do you need?". "10" I said. "I have a box of 100" he says. "Goodbye" I says.
