Ok so, I have another non running car that i want to hotwire and drive today.

It has electronic ignition.

So can I just put a points distributor in and hotwire the coil?? Or would I need to change the ballast to a points ballast???
No.....

If all the electronic stuff is intact, just run a b+ jumper to + side of coil. Check for spark.

Ok, I'm going to move on to the second car and hotwire it because my case of bill Cosby date in a can hasn't showed up yet

Chris staying out of answering that one lol. Chris would blow up the Princess's coil with his crazy luck lol

It worked, fired right up and ran. The problem is under the dash, and it's really been messed with because the previous was making a low rider out of it

The second car is also a fury so it truly is fury Friday here

This is why the Hotwire is necessary on the 68, previous owner was a low rider and he was trying to do some unorthodox stuff in here.

I have a line on a replacement wiring harness

guess im not getting my fedex package today... says so on the tracking but the dude drove by 3 times around 430, hasn't come back :(

Ok enough fun for a day so far. Time to throw a new battery in my 66 and see what happens.
New battery, fired right up, drove home, checked tires. Oil is crystal clear, checked fluids, good to go. Trveled across town and met with a couple buddies and had a few drinks at his shop. All is good except for some rear axle bearing noise. I have a set of Green bearings that might be in the future. 55 year old bearings might not be good.

Jeepers.
To fire it up?
Just to move?
Anything from .5 to .8 Ohms should work for either points or Chrysler ECU.
Want to take it across the state? Then sure match the resistor to the coil and what the book says.

if its two resistors then use the one for the coil , not the one for the ECU.

Lots of stereos and alarms installed using wire nuts......
Yeah I know. My 78 even had lamp cord wire going from the radio to the speakers and for the power cord to the amp. All put in my my uncle and his friends way back when
