I like when they go to 3000 or 3500 RPM for when I check/verify my total advance and also to check the curve of the distributor on the car...
I have an old large Craftsman one here, but I don't think it works...
I like the large meters on them so I can see the slightest change when I'm tuning...
Also might have been from construction or dock work if he ever did that too.
My understanding it that you need to be there by 'shape up' to get work for the day.
Then if you were a day working, you'ld get a token.
This is work badge - its a little different. I think it went to more permanent or regular employees. It was pinned on to show you work there and was not turned in for pay at the end of the day.
If you need something let me know. I am definitely a analogue guy when setting a tune up also, freaking digitals get funky and keep searching. Creat for a volt meter though.

That hurts just to look at. They had Angels riding with them for sure.
If you get that meter with the large analog gauge, I would be interested in it... Let me know how much if you are going to sell it...

Wow, that's too bad. At least they are ok.
Glad they can see the bright spot in the disaster. Hopefully they don't have any additional pains that show up the next few days.
My neighbor rolled her focus wagon friday. Apparently something in the steering broke - somehting in the rack - IDK - but the result was it went its own path back and forth - fortunately hitting no other cars. The person behind her saw what was happening and helped slow traffic down. By the time it hit whatever caused it to roll it must have slowed down a bit. She's OK but for a bruised shoulder etc. Three guys helped her out of the car before rescue arrived.

Got ya. Let me make sure it is ok first, always a crapshoot. Just went through the "parts" ones, holy crap batman I have a bunch for parts. I guess I have been picking them up for a few years because I was always getting asked if I had one. Timing lights also recently. Love the old Sun ones they don't break usually and you can still find the strobe bulbs for them.

I had the desert racer I drove so close to rolling over I could see the rocks and sand in the sand wash rushing past the window nets. What really got my attention was when the oil pressure light came ON . When in doubt? Gas it! Paul the car owner was a big dude, he would have kicked my *** for tearing up the race car

I bought up a few of the old style craftsman timing lights when they changed their style... I like the older craftsman style the best... Especially with the dial for the advance...
I don't like the dial ones have gotten burnt by them usually off. Great if you get a accurate one. Ever get that scope going?
The Sleuth is working, I just need to get a running car to practice/test it on...
I would never get the first Sun Machine that I bought working... Only able to get some of the lights to turn on...
