Stop in for a cup of coffee

Perfect work mug for dealing with truck drivers first thing in the morning for 39 years

This cup is the cat's ***... :D

$50

(Same as a hooker....) :p
Wow, hit it on the money Karl!!
I was going to offer 100 but as we was talking he said they want 50 for it , I jumped on it and we all loaded it up , 5 foot tall and heavy !! Very friggin heavy. Looks like it's a 1943 model from what I have been seeing, my two sons love it and trying to talk me into painting it back new, not sure yet what to do, I like the look it is now or paint it with 69 Barracuda skunk strips with call outside on it.

Wow, I was just throwing out a number...

That thing can't be newer than 60's, more like 50's is my guess...

Does it still cool or does it need a recharge??? If it still works, probably more reliable than today's crap....

Are you gonna keep that in the shop to keep the beer and pop cold???

Morning coffee drinkers, cool here this morning, but warming to the mid 90s.
Was 80 at daybreak here. ONLY supposed to hit 98. But with the humidity, will actually feel 103-104 worse than yesterday
Damn, a good friend of mine crashed his truck this weekend. Someone sideswiped him on the highway. He and his wife just got bumps and bruises but went for a wild ride. The poor truck is destroyed.

Damn
I have an old large one here, but I don't think it works... I like so I can see the slightest change when I'm ...

I will have to play with it when I get a chance and see what it's doing... Then I can let you know what it's doing...
TMI

Good Morning

Pop? What is this "Pop" you are referring too?

It's a regional thing... We call it pop, others call it soda...

I refuse to call it soda when I grew up here calling it pop...

Just like when my ex and I were dating back in '88, we flew down to South Carolina to look at a 67 barracuda fastback...

We had bought round trip tickets just in case we didn't buy it... Luckily we had return tickets as the car wasn't worth it (had a bent rear frame and they already hung a new quarter panel so lots of body work to do and it was only a slant 6 car... Then there was a bent roof beam where the garage it was in during hurricane Hugo got knocked down and one of the rafters bent the roof on the passenger side - back then not worth that kind of money, the body work alone would be more than the car was worth...)

So we rent a motel room for the night and go out walking around to find some refreshment... There was a strip mall across the street from the motel and as we were walking across the parking lot, my gf asks some people "Where is the party store???"

They didn't understand...

Only in Detroit (where she is from) are they called party stores, everywhere else they are called liquor stores... As we were walking away from them, I had to explain to her that they are called liquor stores down here, by asking them where the party store is - you may as well tattoo "******* Yankee" on your forehead.... :confederateflag: :BangHead:

 We had the BLM

Bill's Liquor Market to us

Sometimes confused with the Federally owned lands we abused on a regular basis with various off road vehicles

Well crap!!! Cheryl's Mom was involved in a car accident this morning, not her fault. Side swiped and had to be cut out of the car. She's at the KC trauma center and no idea on her condition. Cheryl was already on her way there (60 miles) when she called to tell me. Told me I probably couldn't get in the hospital with their restrictions so on a hold and wait. Sure she'll be there for awhile and will be taking her what she needs.

Dam, that makes two accidents in the coffee thread in the last day.... :BangHead:

Let's hope that the rule of threes doesn't apply and there will be one more....

Hoping she is not too badly hurt and recovers soon...

Hope she is ok. Keep us posted.

Thought I heard Mae's car beep again this morning... Checked battery volts. 12.1 -12.4. But seamed to increase slightly each time I checked. :wtf: Checked the Neon and get a solid 12.6. Run both and check 5 minutes later both at 12.6. Her system Charges at about 13.9V the Neon charges a little above 14. Not sure if the battery itself could be a problem? Always starts fine. Was new in Jan 2018 and problem started last summer. I changed the TIPM last Dec and it was OK for maybe a month or so, but that could have been dumb luck or ? I don't think the TIPM is the problem. In my experience. 2 parts from different sources don't usually have the same problem. Haven't heard the horn problem while driving and turning or smacking the steering wheel around doesn't make it go off. So don't believe it is the switch or clock spring...
Can find reports of this all over the internet with no definite consistent resolution. And Dodge apparently doesn't even acknowledge they have a problem. This is getting old...:BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:
Definitely feeling it is a voltage issue. Only thing new I am reading that the auto headlight mode on these can cause a parasitic drain. Found 2 posts of people stopped using it and problem resolved.. Gonna try leaving it off and see if that helps.

Ford van is finally done, misfire fixed, ign coil and a spark plug. Good thing it was #1 cyl.
Trailer wiring looks like a rodent chewed on it. Also fixed.
Got El Camino cluster back in and working, even speedo works.

MNL is fine a few stiches and is home doing well. A driver ran a stop sign and she swerved to miss a broadside at 45mph. She went over the curb and rolled several times down an embankment. Her 2007 Subaru Outback is history.
