Gonna haul it to dump. They can burn it.Will burn nice......
Sell it. Someone that burns will want it.Gonna haul it to dump. They can burn it.
Exactly! Around here, seasoned oak is going for 75 bucks a Rick. A 2 ft oak tree for firewood probably gets you’d 500-750 bucksSell it. Someone that burns will want it.
I managed to cut up the 20’ pine that blew down in the storms and fubared my back just before Christmas and get it out on the curb in time for the annual Christmas tree collection last week.
Since it was a pine and the top 6’ looked like a Christmas tree, they didn’t bat an eye and just tossed it all on the truck to haul away.
I wonder if they didn’t think the extra limbs and 10” diameter trunk logs were a bit strange...but probably didn’t care...just municipal workers out doing a job.
Now all that’s left is the bottom 2” of trunk and root ball to hack up in the Spring. Figure if I let it rot a while, the part it the root ball that didn’t break off when it went down will be easier to remove.
Yeah, but in this case it tipped over pulling up 2/3 of the roots and breaking them off. All I want is for the remaining roots to rot enough to break off easily, not trying to break down the stump.Take and drill a few 1-1 1/2" holes vertical in the stump, fill the holes with pool acid for a few weeks. Makes stump removal much easier.
Chain, Cummins truck, 4Lo, and a case a beer, problem solved. See around here we call that stumpingYeah, but in this case it tipped over pulling up 2/3 of the roots and breaking them off. All I want is for the remaining roots to rot enough to break off easily, not trying to break down the stump.
In fact, I want the stump to remain intact so I can pull it out as one big piece and drag it to the curb for pick up.
I use a long demo blade on sawzall. Just jam it in the dirt and cut through the roots a few inches below surfaceYeah, but in this case it tipped over pulling up 2/3 of the roots and breaking them off. Yep, probably what I will do when it’s time. I have a few used sawzall blades with plenty of cutting life left that I won’t care about sacrificing.I use a long demo blade on sawzall. Just jam it in the dirt and cut through the roots a few inches below surface
Slant sixes and 360s have timing chains not belt.Well, the kid broke his timing belt and is stuck in the mountains just inside of NC...
He's trying to find a tow truck to get him home...
Especially those with more records than the KGB.Thanks. We don't need to get the extremists all jacked up. LOL
Proper stumping involves a kaboom!!Chain, Cummins truck, 4Lo, and a case a beer, problem solved. See around here we call that stumping
Its only 14 feet long, what could possibly go wrong?
Glad to hear Rob... I was always a very skinny youngster. 120 lbs out of HS. But I ate a lot of proteins and lifted weights to get to a respectable weight. Now I've been between 185 and 200 for 25 years. I am 6ft at 192 right now, but I exercise every day of the week..Well, I'm losin weight. December first I weighed 287. I quit drinkin cokes and juices and milk and started drinking only water and black coffee. Although we didn't start the Whole30 until January 2nd, I got a jump on it. As of this morning, I am down to 266. And the thing is, it's a very easy diet.....I hate to call it that, they don't call it that. It's a different way to eat. Really high protein, very low carbs, except for vegetables and we can have all of those. Whatever meat we want. Any fruits. But no dairy, no bread and no sugar. Look it up. The Whole30. If you need to lose some weight, it might be for you. It seems to be working for us. It's a little different than a straight Keto diet, as it's much more nutritious. You can have all the carbs from vegetables you want. Under the vegetable list it has taters-ALL, which really surprised me. I love me some eggs for breakfast and they're on the have list too. It's a very unique plan.
