Stop in for a cup of coffee

Say goodbye to it then for this year!
I'm holding my breath until I get on that plane Friday morning. Everything is in place, paperwork wise. But now they have had a flare up of Covid, The English strain and the African strain, but it is up in the north by Hanoi. There is talk about halting flights now... It's a pins and needles thing each day, here for the last month. I'm sure my God is teaching me a lesson in patience, and humility...

Need some water lubricant?

That sucks. Black virus matters also I guess?

I use muriatic acid, a little bit, run it and take out the block drain holes and flush the hell out of it then add baking soda to neutralize it then run, flush a bunch more and hope for the best. You might want to back flush the heater core first then take it out during this. Hoses off I maean.

Solder Seal Co. Used to make a very strong two part flush system, all in one can. I used to sell the hell out of it. I still have an old can on display in my Shop. The neutralizer, was in an attached section of the bottom of the can. Want to say the old part number was 2212N. They quit selling it years ago. Probably much like Hoppy's recipe ....

I will try this when it warms up

I still have rust in the tikey truck, did that to it twice. Prob needs to be boiled out. I will see how much rust is in there when I put the block heater in. Probably all scale.

My truck. I used the radiator flushes from the Auto parts store. I never saw so much. I am afraid to drive it too far because I am afraid what ever is rusting is going to go at some point

Yep had all the hoses off flushed the radiator and engine and heater core all separately

The cuda was really bad, it was over the freeze out plugs, Prob the reason I rebuilt it mostly wanted it boiled out. I would not doubt if it was the same coolant since 1964.

Took almost all day to get plowed out. Sucked. I go and sweep off the truck with a floor broom and go to do the cobalt and the dam handle snapped off. I would love to find a good old broom that is all wooden like they used to make. Uber duties today and tomorrow no way the fire chicken will make it out of the driveway.

LOL Marilyn's quote of the day on the Virus shot

"I may be Italian, but I am no Guinee Pig"

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

That 06 silverado has a crusty block too. lots of rust nuggets in the heater core.
Needs a serious flush, not happening until summer.

The fargo was pretty bad too, rinsed and blow gun with a long tube attatched. In through block drain and a core plug i removed. Water pump was off so it got a good blasting. it was above the core plugs too. I have drained it several times,and sediment is less and less each time.
