My mom had a cool story about how she out ran a Honolulu detective once in my dad's 62 Sport Fury convertible while he was in the Navy at sea....

Also keep in mind a garden hose is good to cool an overheating car down... Spray the radiator with water to bring the running temp down...

Most are 30-50 ft before the first branch. Hickory’s are nearly 4 feet in diameter. Wondering if I can find a saw mill that will cut them into boards for me and I could then build a garage like they used to build barns, with wood board sides and if that’s be any cheaper than buying pine lumber ?

Call a lumber company to try to make some lumber out of the wood...

Especially the ash trees... I lost 6 Ash trees to the Emerald Ash Bore here....

One word of caution for all of you:

My internal bleeding was caused by me taking ibuprofin, aleve, and asprin for body aches and pain.... I assumed that because they were over the counter, they were safe to take... That was a wrong assumption...

I have been taking them for about four years... Sometimes on and off, and sometimes in streaks - like last November when I slept crooked and had a crook in my neck for a month before seeking a chiropractor... It took 8 weeks of weekly chiro visits for the pain to get under control and I used ibuprofin every day, sometimes twice a day to get through the pain... And many times on an empty stomach... I usually took aleve for my chronic lower back pain caused by getting rear-ended by a drunk driver speeding over 80 MPH back in 1988.... I switched to asprin lately because of my shortness of breath thinking I may have cholesterol build up in my arteries which may have contributed to my shortness of breath and the asprin would help thin my blood and break some of the cholesterol loose...

The hospital told me that the safest medicine to take from now on when I need it is Tylenol...

Stay away from ibuprofin, aleve, and asprin...

If you have to take any of those, make sure it's not on an empty stomach....

From now on, I'm gonna suck it up and try to just deal with the pain... Tylenol as a last resort....

And always read the labels for side affects...

Snake release was successful. Once they get their body stuck, they just keep weaving in and out of the net till they cant move at all. I just grab the tail and snip till just it's head was stuck. Then pulled it out and tossed of the garden in one motion. It was moving good, but slow. Got it wrapped on a stick and took down to the field.

I took ibuprofen for back pain for many years. I switched to Tylenol after/during my heart surgery. They took me off pain meds (oxy and the like) and onto Extra Strength Tylenol the second day. I asked what kind of Tylenol it was. They said the same that Wal Mart sells. Just a baby aspirin each day.

I used to use aleve and ibuprofen and the low dose aspirin... Since they caught a slight afib on a monitor they gave me Eliquis as 'an insurance policy' against stroke and said no more aspirin. And when they changed my BP meds said Tylenol is preferred to others. I'll do one 500 for a headache, up to a few time a day if I have something really hurting, but that does not happen often.
 
Caught up. Welcome home Karl. Some people have issues with these over the counter pain relievers, some do not...
 
Near 90 and very humid, but I need to get some yard work done... Guess I will get out there and do a walk around see what needs the most attention. Lot of low branches and bushes need cut back. Might drag the chipper/shredder out of the shed.
 
Need to run to town and get some fuel for the tractor and some gas for the mower and trimmer.
Then start on some other honey do's. Wife says the a/c in the Dakota is not cooling.

I thought that yesterday driving home from Minnesota in the Swinger but after things got cooled down inside I turned down the fan and the temp and it was still chilly in there. LOL
