Yeah just wait until that track bar wears a bit. Granted youre not in the salt belt so it may last a bit longer.


Funny thing, a common upgrade to Jeeps is to use track bars from 1 ton fords. Requires welding new brackets and at least a 4 inch lift on the Jeep
 
Got escape done. The pressure hose was snagged on something on back side of engine, causing angle of tube to be off, so fitting wouldnt start. After i unsnagged it, got a little more slack, it finally went. Had to wreck a wrench to do the hose, that’s fine.

I got lucky in way. There were some guys on the Innovate Motorsports forum who really knew their stuff. My learning curve was a bit steep but eventually the brain cells started connecting. There were a couple reasons I knew these guys knew there stuff. One, they were having intelligent discussions with the owner/inventor. Two, they didn't know it all but had approaches to solving problems, and had questions about how things worked . Three, when they referenced stuff, it was NACA, SAE and real science and engineering literature. Damn! Four, one of them (screen name Tuner) had helped a couple people I knew their road race cars. I respect his wish to remain anonymous on the web, but it was fun putting the clues together.

Oh hell Tim, you should be fine.
Instead of Step up spring and rods, there's a power valve (with a spring in it) and power valve restriction channels.

The other difference is the Holley idle circuit only has one fuel restrictor and one air bleed. I think that makes them more sensitive to getting the throttle position in the correct range at idle.

Another guy on the old Innovate Forum was Bruce "Shrinker" Robertson.
He machined his own solid fuel carbs from scratch.
The whole thing. Not just a few parts. His own modular design.

He only used them for his customers (cars/boats he was tuning or building). From what he posted when asked about buying one, his response was the solid fuel design did not lend itself to bolt on and go. So he wouldnt sell them except to those people whose engines he was working on.

Make sure you charge the customer for a new wrench.... That's what I do....
