I kept going, finished the repair where the trunk drop mounts. Its all welded. Found more thin metal to fix too. And cut away the excess for the left 1/4 panel.
Any ideas on removing the LCA inner bushing sleeve off of the control arm shaft?
Punching out the outer portion from the LCA wasn't too bad...but the control arm shaft is posing a challenge.

I think I held it with vice grips and pressed it out with a shop press.....Or a cold chisel and cut it off....That is what I did. Put pivot in bench vice, used a cold chisel, and hammer, and pushed it off...
Mancini tool pulled the arm out easy. Rubber popped right out and used a chisel to roll the outer, flipped it over and punched it out

Is bypassing a ballast resistor as easy as it sounds? just connect the two wires together?
Yup. But not for too long, will smoke the coil.

I have an edelbrock internally resisted coil.
I have been meaning to bypass it since that coil needs the 12v's and is only getting 8.9v's but more prudent things came up

will doing it this way work? (elec. choke will go on third terminal)
Put it in the bench vice and scarred it with a metal saw then cold chisel to split them off.

Should work. Internal resistor coils are typically used on gm’s but i see no reason that it wont cause an issue.

well yes, but I thought that applied to stock 9v coils
I have none in my 66...MSD Blaster 2 coil and a MSD Dist.... All 12 volt.....You don't see race cars with a resistor?
