Stop in for a cup of coffee

Yesterday took a two hour drive deep into the heartland of Kansas farm country to pick up my new mower.
Younger guy living on the old family farm original homestead 130 years in the family. Now has 1000 acres.
His parents down the road where grew up have another 1000 acres.
They all keep busy farming and the cattle and horses they have.
I'm pretty sure since he inherited the mower from his grandfather my purchase paid a equipment payment or something.

Morning coffee men. Packed and flying to Alaska.
Not my favorite mode of transportation , almostccalways get sick. Private plane ok commercial not so good.
My grandson sent me a message last night.
I want to buy this 86 Camaro. I want you to see it first . I hope it's sold before I get there.
Well should be back before Carlisle. or not. If not the Carlisle shirts will get mailed with Alaska post mark.
Got my shirt, just in time for my Birthday. Thanks so much,Ray!

I cringe when i see sandals and cement block in the same picture. I had a pretty serious foot injury as a kid, before that i used to go barefoot all the time. Now, never.
I cant stand it when the wife comes into shop in her sandals.
Ha, No OSHA standards here. I've even seen them weld with small buzz boxes wearing sandals and No glasses.. got pics somewhere a guy is climbing telephone poles or utility poles in sandals. LOL

Yikes! Climbing a utility pole in sandals, holy cow!

First time you gaff yourself pulling a line or come off the pole and eat 6" splinters those shenanigans will cease... most of my well remembered lessons have a moment of pain or embarrassment associated.

Morning.

quick up date on the FIL.

Tuesday, a rock wall gave way and he fell over 40 ft onto a limestone ledge. He was awake and alert thru the entire recuse and recovery. He has a broken neck, but has regained SOME feeling and movement in his one leg, and both arms, exceptions being his fingers and his right leg.

No prognosis at this time as it’s still too soon to know. they won’t know until swelling goes down.
Thanks for all the prayers

Tough one Chris. Feeling back in extremities is very good.

That’s what We’re all hoping. What we do know is that he was on the “safe” side of the marked safety line. By a lot. If he’d been 3 ft closer, the trajectory would have sent over the 2nd ledge and down an addition 90-150 feet

Taking day off.
Going to fetch the Lebaron today. My son wants to help. Also a 400/4bbl/727 that last ran 30 years ago. And a pile of A-body stuff thats in a trunk.

Watch that second step, it's a doosy, glad he didn't go over that!
