No comment!Yeah, my comment was for Ray.....Brrrr!
That's got to be tough. Our family is in the early stages of that with our Mom, just found out a few months ago that she has brain cancer, given 2 years to live. Has had radiation treatments and just started her first immuneotheropy. She's living at my brothers house, still has all of her stuff at her apartment but I don't think she's going to able to return, maybe, we hope anyway.Morning!
-21. Damn. Off to visit mom this morning. Its not going well.a few more days and hopefully she will settle in.
Sounds like a great time John! Man do I want a Trager, have killed multiple briskets lol!We had a pretty good day out here yesterday in preparation for the BBQ today. We smoked a brisket on the Trager. We had a lot of visitors, neighbors dog, two unknown house cats and one bobcat. The brisket wafted over the mountain from mid morning till about nine pm. Apparently it was creature code for let’s see what that smell is! Our boy did some deer hunting and I got to supervise the munchkin! He is in kindergarten, we had a hoot throwing rocks in the pond, playing king of gravel pile and building the big house. Lots to do. Finished the night in the lounge shooting pool with boy and his son. It just don’t get any better than that!

We got it while in Fargo last winter when they had a seasonal fire sale on them. Thus we never really used it and are just now figuring out how to. It is a bit more involved than just grilling. But in Fargo it was pointless to try when it is sub zero for so long. We decided to just wait till we got here to break it in! We are liking it so far. Much more control than a grill. Which suits the control freak in me!Sounds like a great time John! Man do I want a Trager, have killed multiple briskets lol!
Yep and control is key when you're trying for low and slow. Too hard to do with propane and wood pellets sure don't hurt the flavor either. We got it while in Fargo last winter when they had a seasonal fire sale on them. We are still trying to figure out which flavor of pellets we like the best. But they are pricey! So far we like Hickory. Any suggestions?Yep and control is key when you're trying for low and slow. Too hard to do with propane and wood pellets sure don't hurt the flavor either.
800 usually for the core, told the guy but he did it anyhow for a $350 distributor that is right numbers for his 340.Rare and expensive? I see the T/A....
Hope your Championship goes better than Utah vs. USC, once again the PAC-12 has eaten their own with Utah beating USC and knocking them out of the playoffs, hilarious!!! Today I'll watch USA in the other football, World Cup.Morning everyone a true sports day here for us.
11 am Big 12 Championship game on TV with my Kansas State team playing.
Then an afternoon basketball game with our local college men's and women's basketball team and then out to a favorite sports bar for dinner.
A truly wasted day, but I'm loving it!!
Sorry to hear this, prayers are with her and your family. That's got to be tough. Probably depends on the meat, I'd say Alder for Salmon, Mesquite for chicken, Hickory for steak, but yep change it up. Tragers are expensive to buy and to run but once mastered there's nothing better. Do you have remote monitoring? We are still trying to figure out which flavor of pellets we like the best.
