Stop in for a cup of coffee

Not sure about your area, but its the coldest Christmas we have had in 30 years, keep a very close eye on your outside wall water lines in your home, I keep the fousets dripping a bit. I have never had pipes to freeze here and I don't want to ever deal with that my friend
Yeah I got the pipes drippin here. I also have the furnace runnin. That helps heat up the under side of the house and keeps the pipes from freezing. Hopefully the power won't go out.

Power here sucks kept going on and off last night. We are literally the last house on this power run.

I've been there, its been 30 years ago, sometimes we didn't have power for two days, everyone else had power it seemed.

Never knew they called this the Peace bridge, Canada to New York i believe

PPL (Pennsylvainia Power and Lighting) Is pretty fast restoring here usually within a few hours. I have to make sure the Generator is good this AM, been a while since I started it.

Uep, I started mine Wensday, fired right up and ran for 15 minutes, so I have it ready, wife said we forgot about our generator last night, I laughed and said you didn't hear it running yesterday , out here in this hilly and wooded area it is heard by everyone near buy

Morning weather watchers -4 here with a -21-wind chill with a warmup to 10 today.
Kids got a late start and pulled off the road in Paducah Kentucky 4:30 am for a few hours.
It's usually a eight drive to there but with the snow took them 12 hours.
Better roads from there to here should be in for supper.
My other daughter and granddaughter have been snowboarding in Bend, OR all week and start back today flying through Denver.
Their flight looks delayed from Denver to KC so they'll be late like real late getting home.
Other than that, I'm getting out of the house today and going to the gym or something.
Have a great day.

Good morning.

So far, we haven’t even flickered, which is highly unusual for us. Normally with these winds, we’d be having the same issues you’re having

Hey @toolmanmike.

The local sports radio here just played a clip of Mark Woodley from KWWL in Waterloo standing out in the storm during the morning show.... hilarious.

Yep, one of our sports guys. I was surprised to see him reporting the weather outside of the station.

7 days from now its saying on the weather we will be at 62 and sunny, 41 for the low, thats where we should be most all winter at times, February is worst for us it seems to me.

Good morning. OMG cold. 30-50mph wind. -50 wind chill. Bad drifts. Marie got stuck in the driveway drift. Had to go shovel. My truck started right up though. Block heater and grill cover sure worked well.

We got power back this morning, but no way to get up or down the hill. We are locked in for sure. Good thing we got candles, extra quilts, two generators. After living in Fargo for so long this does not even register as cold since we are prepared. Unless of course all of the aforementioned items are in a storage building in town? Epic planning fail! We used every Snap on battery in the house last night for light. Nary a candle or lantern in the house! That idiot who is in the mirror when I shave does Not seem so bright now!
