Stop in for a cup of coffee

Granddaughter who is only two, is in emergency surgery for her beak this morning after a grudge match with the fire place yesterday. Fireplace one babies nose zero. We are stuck on the hill and cannot go to support, arghh! They have to put her out to stitch it up. Since it is a facial wound of significance and on a young lady they are being super careful to reduce scarring. When that kid crashes she does a good job! The fireplace is fine however.

You both know perfectly well I am dead man walking if I broach that discussion with her! Hah! We had a blast, battery lights, a fully stocked wine rack, and all kind of munchies. We burrowed in and chatted the evening away. It was a hoot. But I appear to be a bit dehydrated this morning!

Morning weather watchers -4 here with a -21-wind chill with a warmup to 10 today.
Kids got a late start and pulled off the road in Paducah Kentucky 4:30 am for a few hours.
It's usually a eight drive to there but with the snow took them 12 hours.
Better roads from there to here should be in for supper.
My other daughter and granddaughter have been snowboarding in Bend, OR all week and start back today flying through Denver.
Their flight looks delayed from Denver to KC so they'll be late like real late getting home.
Other than that, I'm getting out of the house today and going to the gym or something.

There is a really good coffee shop in Paducha. Piper Coffee and Tea. In an old coke a cola building. Very good and they are serious about coffee. Craft brew bar in same building.
 
About to go outside and take pictures, it looks slick out there, if I fall down in the right place I will go for a ride all the way to the road.

Prayers for her. I did the same thing as a three year old and I came out ok. As long as she looks better than Grandpa she'll be fine...haha!!
Fortunately, young kids heal well and the plus with what a surgeon can do.
Just takes time.

Sorry John and if your grand kids are anything like you she will bounce back fast.
 
Dam dropping fast went outside to move some cars around Hoppys used car lot, it was 40 come in it is 35!

Back reading it looks like most of you are getting bad weather and sorry to hear that. Not bad here yet, cold and windy but not much new snow.
