Stop in for a cup of coffee

Christmas tree and decorations come down first thing tomorrow morning.
What's everyone else's schedule? Unless you're a "Christmas lights stay up all year long" kinda person....
Not sure about the tree, But I already put away the Santa sleigh and pengiuin that was blowed up in the front yard. Actually it was a smart idea from the wife to pack them up before the rain hit.

Right where it was left.

I'm told ours is up until the company leaves Thursday, and then it will probably wait until we have a crappy weather day to do it.
With all she has out it will take most of a day to pack it and put it back in storage. I'm always happy to get the house back to normal.

Usually one of the pipes is zinc. Let me google it. When they get sacrafised then the steel will rot. Also good idea to drain them once a year, thats why most have a spigot on the bottom. Takes the used zinc out.

You should change them around every 5 years. That will really extend the life of the cold water heater.

Yeh, I know what it does, and makes sense they would have one. I just never gave it any thought. Before the last electric water heater ours ran through a coil on the old oil burner. I did just look it up and saw a recommendation to change anode every 3 years. Also mentioned that water softener will decrease the anode life.... @dukeboy_318
Makes sense the salt.

Hah! Tell her Jodi says hello!

Our entire Xmas decorations this year consisted of three Gnomes on a table in the classroom! Won’t be to hard to get em put back in box’s. Next year however will be very different I fear!
We got a pair of Gnomes from my son’s in-laws this year.

So in an effort to eat healthier this year I made a tuff decision. No more Butter Pecan ice cream. Only vanilla for breakfast! Grandkids are gone but I get leftovers!

I like to take my ice cream container and pop it in the microwave for 20 seconds to soften it up.
It's a chit storm too when I get caught eating like that out of the container.

Understanding Production Date Codes

  • By Moparr Motor - Detroit (Nov 1992, Dec 2004, Dec 2010)
  • The following information can be used as your guide to better understand the date codes that are applied to components used in the production of vehicles. There are various types of date code identification applied to material.
  • Production dates could be etched, stamped (ink or steel punch type) on the part or even on a tag. Keep in mind that this is just a guide. Chrysler has a scheme that was to be followed however, some suppliers applied the code slightly different. Some codes are easy to spot and translate and some require a considerable examination.
  • Typically the scheduled vehicle production would be from August 1st to July 31st.

Hope to take our tree down Tuesday or Wed. We have to close off the living room because the cat likes to climb inside and he bends the limbs up. It will be nice to get the living room back.
