I used to be more hot headed, but realized it never got me anywhere. If I have to be I will be, but I like to try to be civil at first. Let me tell you though. I am ticked that I spent my money on a part that is junk. I hope they make rebuild kits for them.. If they do then I will just ask him to refund enough to buy that.

No garage fall has nothing to do with my not driving. Other issues. I'm fine from that incident. Only thing still hurting from that is my pride of which I have none. LOL

I try to stay cool but that really would have pushed my button - I'm with Mitch, I'd have called him out - if it's an honest mistake it can be smoothed later in the thread--

Nice to hear from you. Question? Why would you want to swim in the kiddie pool.

I did read the sale add Ramie is correct in how the add is worded. I would expect a good working pump. He sent him a pm let's see how he responds first.

Hello everyone. Had a wonderful, sunny day here in MN.

I got the car going. It ended up being a bad starter.

I had some other issues, which Im somewhat irritated about. One concerning a Carter fuel pump I bought from a member here that ended up being junk. I was told it was in good condition.. Not sure what to do about that situation.. Probably not much I can do now.

I helped Chuck get his car started last winter, and he had a brand new Carter high volume fuel pump that was bad...

I've seen two of them in the last year...

Now Im starting to wonder if my other one is bad as well. Karl, do you know if they have a built in check? Im getting drain back or siphoning. At least that is what I think is happening... My fuel pressure gauge drops pressure rapidly as soon as the car is shut off and goes negative.

I didn't get to the mall today ...I didn't get my locking adjustable wrench like I wanted ......I barely got out of bed.

rain rain and more rain

actually, kiddie pools are nice because you can set them up indoors ....I have set one up in the garage before to have privacy and still swim.

On Chuck's pump, it wouldn't pump enough fuel. We disconnected the line after the pump and had it drain into a jar while cranking it over, and nothing came out. I went home and brought a couple of used ones from engine cores I have laying around and the first one worked and we got fuel to the carb...

Then we had to get the secondary vent to stop spouting fuel.....

Your talking that small hole on the top right? That is where the fuel was shooting out of on mine..

The circled part is the only hole I have.. This is where mine was spewing

A bad diaphragm. They engineered that hole to keep Gas out of the crank case in case of a failure.
