it's funny, in my original reply i almost mentioned "There are the trickflows, but by the time you factor the "magnum" rockers in get get ungodly expensive" Nice heads for sure. just $$Yeah, trickflows, can always use the oil through pushrod rockers if i need to. Not a big thing i get why you guys would rather do a full long block, especially warranty issues when someone does something stupid setting up a cam/top end.. as a business owner i know what it's like dealing with humans
Oh no!He is in hospital with a serious infection....Talked to him this morning...
Yeah.. bad thing is i ordered the LA rockers so.... when i switch to a different block i will end up buying again.. i should have gotten the pushrod oilers since i would work on both blocks.. live and learn Still 2.5 months left waiting for headsit's funny, in my original reply i almost mentioned "There are the trickflows, but by the time you factor the "magnum" rockers in get get ungodly expensive" Nice heads for sure. just $$
Pit Boss. Just a basic pellet smoker that has worked well for me.Weber bullet smoker?
i wish mopar guys weren't so "scared" of stud mount rockers. That IS the one thing i prefer about the magnum heads we use. we can use common SBC style rockers. not $1200 rockers.Yeah.. bad thing is i ordered the LA rockers so.... when i switch to a different block i will end up buying again.. i should have gotten the pushrod oilers since i would work on both blocks.. live and learn Still 2.5 months left waiting for heads
Very nice, i have a 28" weber which works great but i haven't touched it in like 5 years now.. sitting in a corner of the garage so it doesn't rust in the rain
The Harland Sharp Mancini ones were like $560 with shafts/holddowns and bolts... not a bad deal really.. I'm not afraid of stud rockers, just going with what works on the headsi wish mopar guys weren't so "scared" of stud mount rockers. What do you feel is a safe lift limit with that set up? I bet valve springs matter too. Most street engines we build that shouldn't be a big issue though.i wish mopar guys weren't so "scared" of stud mount rockers. Hey, I bought a short block from you, and assembled it myself, with LA heads. Air gap intake, Sanderson headers, man that thing is a torque monster! A set of Rhodes lifters for magnum, used a stock lifter web. Only thing was getting correct puch rod length....of course push rod oiling. I love it!i wish mopar guys weren't so "scared" of stud mount rockers. That IS the one thing i prefer about the magnum heads we use. we can use common SBC style rockers. not $1200 rockers.
Full roller.Hey, I bought a short block from you, and assembled it myself, with LA heads. Air gap intake, Sanderson headers, man that thing is a torque monster! we have tested 900HP engines with stud rockers....doesn't scare me much at all. What do you feel is a safe lift limit with that set up? I bet valve springs matter too. Most street engines we build that shouldn't be a big issue though.

just thier LA rockers with no other modifications? have you ran it w/o valve covers and watched oil flow? just curious. cool if it has enough flow!Speed master heads, and speedmaster rockers...Only 260 miles on it now, but no issues that I have noticed....
I have, and all flow great. Before I leave for power tour, I am going to pull covers and check everything out.....just thier LA rockers with no other modifications? have you ran it w/o valve covers and watched oil flow? just curious. cool if it has enough flow!
I used stock 273 valve covers and they would not clear rockers. So I used a 3/8 spacer, cleared up the interference issue...just thier LA rockers with no other modifications? have you ran it w/o valve covers and watched oil flow? just curious. cool if it has enough flow!
Getting the correct push rod length was critical for oil flow. The adjusters had a very small window of adjustment for oil passages into the rocker...just thier LA rockers with no other modifications? have you ran it w/o valve covers and watched oil flow? just curious. cool if it has enough flow!
