Stop in for a cup of coffee

Wife told me front windows not working on the Journey. Found lock switches not working either. But passenger window worked from it's own switch. ready to order switch pod for driver door, but did som internet investigation first. Found a couple that said wire break in harness passing through door jam most likely cause. Several others said disconnect power 5 min. OK, negative off, 5 min... ALL Good! Every once in a while I get lucky.

got bout 5 hours done on the car.. rear windows are back in, took apart the doors and glass and all out.. You guys know anything i could just throw the regulators in for like a week to break up that old hard lithium grease? things are just nasty..

Well, I got 90% of the cage welded in, and the dimple died a pillar panels. It is looking pretty damn good...I think. Shoulder, door and knee bars will all go in after the floor and trans tunnel.

Snow really took a beating today, moved some away from house with tractor, may prevent water seeping into basement, which happens every year. Got mounts made for studebaker taillights. They look good where i installed em.

Is it possible you’re not getting the TQ converter seated fully?
With that transmission, I assume your thinking low pump pressure?
Does that also have a rear pump? and does that given driven by the tailshaft only?

@lkopaska

Twice now with this pushbutton A904 I can't get it to upshift. Fluid levels are correct.

Thoughts
Throttle 'kickdown' Shift linkage ?
That and the governer determine how the valves move.
Lemme look in a 66 book.

Governer pressure should increase enoguh to push the shuttle valve over. That applies the kickdown band

Apply kickdown to upshift to second while in drive.

Does it work manually shifting?

Wow.....24 hours since I last posted, and 5+ pages .....you guys move fast

Happy Easter to all. We had Turkey (saved one from December) and a fresh lamb leg.....along with roasted veges, and plenty of scalloped potato.

Finished up with trifle and pavlova.

Yes. And it originally did have the dual pumps but the trans builder deleted one and put a 66 VB in it.

Oh boy!
Wish I was closer.

You know more about these than I do. But another set of eyes and a brains would help.

The dude that did his trans has a very good rep so my money is on the converter not being fully seated.

On mine, It took me several tries to get it fully seated. And there’s just enough play to let it bolt up to the crank no issues, though it will put forward pressure on the thrust bearing and could cause issues . Now that he’s got engine issues, I’m really leaning towards that but I’ve been wrong before
