Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
I had a chicken wire fence previously, but it was shot. Not doing anything for the veggies and see what happens. The blueberries will get covered with bird netting. Prior to put wire up, I mostly had problems with the rabbits eating the plants as fast as they sprouted (beans, carrots, radishes) And groundhogs would get cantaloupes when they were almost ripe. I didn't plant any of those. Will see how it goes.,,
Doesn't Holley take care of most of the critters?

Leftovers here. Salmon with asparagus, onions and oyster mushrooms. Already ate a small salad.

LOL. She would chase em if she get's the chance. But them critters mostly work night shift.
Yes they often do.
Mine would point to the back door around 11:30 PM. Figured she had to go out.
Yes she did. To sit and watch (and listen).
Of course I want to go to bed and don't want to leave out all night - not that she would care.
Sometimes I just left the door softly closed and she would come in when she wanted.
I'd wake up some time in the night and go close it.
What a routine! LOL

Worst was if she cornered something. Then she'd start barking...in the middle of the night.

Another brisket fail for me, well timing wise anyway. It's near 7 and my son needs to hit the road so daughter is bringing home take out on her way back from work. Brisket finished stall awhile ago but is only at 176, 13.36 pounds before trimming, shoulda started it earlier. Wife has "grandmas beans" in a pan on top shelf, saw it on DDD (Guy Fieri).

When you get it down right let me know your secret never was able to do a Brisket right.

I cook them inside in the cooler months.
IMO the secret is cook them, let em cool and cook 'em again. Free range is a little tougher.
I've cooked them in a wine sauce but that's still in the learning curve.
Fo me the sure fire way is saute the onions, sear the brisket and add plum tomatoes or similar.
I'm not sure if searing is important. Cook long and slow with celery, carrots, mushroom or mushroom caps, potatoes, etc.
For seasoning is whatever seem right. For me its usually a little salt if not in with the totaoes already, pepercorns, bay leaf, basil.
Actually if there is no room, cook without the potatoes. Can cook them in the liquid pretty quick at high temperature when the brisket is out cooling on the board.
With free range in particular, I find it best to slice it all and put it back in.
Next day heat again and serve.

Note, on reheat, especially 3rd reheat make sure the brisket doesn't get stuck to the bottom the pan.
I use a dutch oven like cast iron pan with lid that has little teeth in it. No idea what its actually called.

Morning, quick stop by. Follow up with my Personal Doc. On my blood clot issue.
Looks like I may need a ride. I'm a little light headed. Appointments not till mid morning.

Git er done Ray.. if I was closer I'd give you a ride. Hope all goes well.

Morning clan hope it's a great day for ya. It's supposed to rain all day we'll see. First outdoor softball game of the season tonight.
Rainy day means working inside but there is always plenty to do. Be nice someday to say I've got nothing to do...haha!!
Have a great day!!

Good morning guys. Got home and planted 3 more trees. I was able to break into Marie's truck and get it open. Nothing broken. Just needed time. Used a coat hanger and was able to get it set to grab the handle and pull it.
