Will do, I thought I needed a press.Front are really easy Scott save a few bucks and learn something.
Rear maybe if doing axel bearings but there are ways to cut them off and put them on, Definately not if its your first time IMOWill do, I thought I needed a press.
Yeah, for me, the jury's out on all those free service manual downloads. I'm not real crazy about reprints. I like BOOKS. First editions, IMO are best because they seem to have the least mistakes. As they are reprinted, there are more mistakes......and down right exclusions. I can only imagine how the CD versions are.....and then finally the downloadable versions. Besides, the BOOK needs no lecktricity to work and I can put my HAND right on it. I guess I'm just old. That's cool, too.I get so much I have seen it on the web. Usually tell them get it fixed on the web. Some good info on there but also alot of bad info out there.
1 pound for new cars, 2 pound for imports, 5 pound for mopars, remember that it is important.BFH can fix many things
Yup, I've done a LOT of them. I found a 5/8 metal cutting hole is DEAD perfect. Cut all the way THROUGH the drum and just scratch the surface of the hub. The drum will fall off.Rob your old school. did you ever drill the drum around a stud to get it off? I never had, just a BFH! with a lug upside down on the stud and drive it out in one blow. There I said it late the hate begin!
The my Mopar scans are right on. I just print out what I need if I do not have the FSM. I am starting to get a hell of library on them though. Have most of the prestolite IPB from 70-30, alot of mopar mostly 60's. But I need them.Yeah, for me, the jury's out on all those free service manual downloads. I'm not real crazy about reprints. No no. It's 10 pound for imports. They don't need to come out alive.1 pound for new cars, 2 pound for imports, 5 pound for mopars, remember that it is important.
Yeah but what if you get a virus or something corrupt in your computer? Like Barney would say. Blewey. The my Mopar scans are right on. I just print out what I need if I do not have the FSM. I dont ever think I have cut that, just pushed them out usually. Reason is what keep the drum on afterwards in theory? The area it swedges into is gone. Never screwed up a stud either.Yup, I've done a LOT of them. I found a 5/8 metal cutting hole is DEAD perfect. Cut all the way THROUGH the drum and just scratch the surface of the hub. Thats the import suv's!No no. It's 10 pound for imports. They don't need to come out alive.
Cheap refurbished laptops. I kill them in the shop usually.Yeah but what if you get a virus or something corrupt in your computer? Like Barney would say. Blewey.
I usually grind the od of old bearing and use it to drive wheel bearing in.Front? Just drive he races out they are made to do that. Clean out the grease you will see where the punch fits. Use brass tapping them back in. Super easy. If he is checking the drums on a brake lathe have him do it with the new races in that way it will be "true" to the new bearing. I know your OCD!!!!!!!
If you push the studs out without cutting the swedged part of the drum, you will enlarge the stud holes in the hub and a new stud is much less likely to be tight when driven in. It can actually ruin the hub. ....and they don't grow on trees.I dont ever think I have cut that, just pushed them out usually. Reason is what keep the drum on afterwards in theory? I'm still nursin a hurt back so I fully sympathize.Morning!
Another rough night, and the low back pain is starting. There was no back pain when this started, so i dont know wtf is next.
I'm not just talking about them, but any virus or corrupt file that can render your computer into a useless turd.Should have specified My Mopar scans. Never ever had a alert on them.
