Stop in for a cup of coffee

Way different from 64. And then there's Canadian angle. Special starter or somehting ?- I forget

Wiring in the Canadian is consistent. Only thing i have to be careful of is anything going to the rear as it has the 111" wheelbase and the passenger compartment is a few inches longer.

I have the MOPAR mini starter that was on the slant that I plan to reuse. Alternator as well

Standard US built wiring was somehting like this

To add an ECU make it seperate. Plug and play
Put a ring terminal on the wire that replaces the points.
Put a 1/4" female on the power feed wire for the ECU.
Use a piggy back so both the original spade connector and the new one can share the tab on the ballast.

Your 64 doesn't have a fusible link.
Probably could add one.

I actually wanted to ask where i should add some fuses to my 62... like the main alt wire and such...

The girl 2 doors down is finally starting on my seats.... i don't think she can have them done in 2 days (her shop closes) but we will see

Have that on the dart. Frame connectors had to be for the long wheelbase.

The alternator doesn't really need a fuse. If it grounds the electromagnetic field gets no power and the engine shuts down cause the ignition gets no power.

I cant recall how different '62 wiring is. I was helping a guy here with an Lancer but maybe it was a '61

Maybe '62 is like this? Not so different then.

'60 has an external starter solenoid, kindof like people call 'Ford' solenoids. I think canadian cars stayed with that longer.

Altenrator feed runs to the headlight switch then the ammeter.

Matt I need to take a pic of the electronic voltage regulater I made. Basically a pass fail.

Its a 64 Matt. He has it wired in now. Probably just adjust the wire to the distributor and the sending units and he has it. Then tape it up.

I wish I had figured out20 years ago how is it is to make those ECU harnesses so they plug in.

If it was me and the wire is still supple. I would un taoe it make the adjustments and re tape it. Lesson learned on mine use racing tape it is not flammable . When I had the engine fire the dame OEM tape was a fuse.

I thought the main cable to the alt was to the alt gauge and battery with no fuse? been a long time though...

My car was a /6 car. I used the harness, but thats a 67. Later when I switched to the MSD I left the ECU plug hanging there, just in case. But it would have been neater to have the ECU plug in the trunk with the ECU.

Mine was so melted no way to reuse it. Did re use a few of the plug ends, then made a custom harness for my engine using the right color coded wires. Definately a pain in the *** but not hard for me I used to wiring C-130's. Matt you going to hit Carlisle this year?

Morning, non-sleepers and early risers.

Creeping up toward the 90s today and through the week. Thankfully, still 60s at night.

Scott, you heading up to Carlisle? I was thinkin of spending the day on Friday.

Yeah Chris same plan. Going to leave early and get there by 0700 and spend all day there
Most likely I will do the same... Day trip for Friday. Watching the weather...
Haha talking shoo-fly pie and an eBay ad popped up for one from an Amish bakery in PA.
One thing Cheryl was missing on our cancelled trip was a slice of shoo-fly.
Well they second day send you a pie. It will be a great surprise for her, and I'll enjoy it too!!
Dutch Haven was the best. And I believe they would ship them. Closed last year. Not sure if anyone bought and/or re-opened it.

Out to mow grass now. :steering:

Good Morning

I have braided case for the harness... I did a @Mopar Tim and removed all the electrical tape... what a gooey mess that was.

Much of it I have never heard of.
I was pleased. I have many of them. I don't have any Pappy's, Elmer T Lee or George T Stagg. (I have a Stagg Jr.) Oh and no Sinatra. (Jack Daniels) Most of those listed are highly allocated bottles from Buffalo Trace.

My local farm stand opens today!!! Hurray!!!

Fresh corn!!!

Yep, fresh corn!!!

It's already at full size... I've never seen it this good this early in the season... Usually it's a little small for the first two weeks, but it's bigger than the diameter of my big dinner plates already... If this is any indication of how it's going to be this season, this is going to be the best summer yet for corn!!!
