We still one of the few places here in Ca without an "Excessive Heat" warning. Sweatshirt weather out there right now. 128° predicted for Death Valley today  I sure miss the desert
To hot no thanks.

Only 115° in the old hometown today  You wanna see some miserable folks, Barstow residents used to get real cranky when them desert monsoons got nearby. Since the humidity was normally so low most homes had swamp coolers. Swamp coolers don't work well when the humidity goes way up.

Cool and clammy.

Plenty of Hemi cars, but not a lot of parts that I saw. A lot of B body stuff……….seems to be the most prevalent
At the eone of Hoppys row by the gate. There is a guy with a trailer load of hemi blocks and parts. He is there every year.

Yep back home. Pulled in about an hour ago.
Sorry I missed a lot of folks.
I got in I guess there around 8 Fri. Night.
I just couldn't get myself going.
Mr. Prepared. I grabbed everything but one of my phones. DUH !

Sorry no picks Mitch has two , one of Chin In the Valiant and one of him and her outside of it. Funny she couldnt figure how to get out . :lol:Maybe he will post those later.
In hind sight I probably should have stayed home. I was useless to do anything. No weight limit lifting over 10lb.
Did more walking thought then I have in months.
Tim and Simone gave me a room in there camper.
The car ran great though. Must have had a few dozen folks taking pictures and asking Questions.

Awesome Wolfie... Sad that I missed you getting in but glad that you had a chance to hang out . I'm super jealous that you were able to cruise the car that far. What is it, about 3 hours of driving?

Your 64 doesn't have a fusible link.
Probably could add one.

Thanks Matt

Getting ready to pull the trigger with Classic... Which year fusible link makes sense to acquire? Only A-body one I can see is the 67 - 71 (note that the car is converted to electronic ignition already)

Good to hear you made it out and back OK. At least you got to see Lefty and met Mrs Lefty. Us east coasters can just show up at your house if we want to see you. :poke:

Thanks Matt

What do you have for wiring tools ?
For the one above you'll need the matching connector.

Harness I ordered is a 64 A-body modified for electronic ignition.

Tool-wise, I have basic crimper, stripper etc. Multimeter.

OK>. So now PISSED because the item went from "In Stock" to "Backordered" as soon as I completed the transaction. :mob:

Order from Year One.
or order a regular harness.

Its pretty easy to set up a ECU plug to attach right to the original harness.

You'll need a some open barrel terminals. One with a ring terminal and one with a female for the 1/4" spade.
I can't recall if the ECU plug comes with the distributor connection. That's the one I don't know of a source for.
To add an ECU make it seperate. Plug and play
Put a ring terminal on the wire that replaces the points.
Put a 1/4" female on the power feed wire for the ECU.
Use a piggy back so both the original spade connector and the new one can share the tab on the ballast.

Lotta Derelicts at the donut shop this morning. One of the regular attendees makes me wanna have a phone with smart capabilities. Mad Max Road Warrior lookin' '53 Chebbie. Very petina lookin' tan paint, almost desert camo effect, gatling gun/mini gun replicas on the front fenders, a fin looking thing on the roof made of numerous circular saw blades of various sizes, tail lights mounted on .30 cal ammo cans even :realcrazy:. Almost forgot, it's 4wd too.

I seen some of the Alaska residents got their Martinis "Shaken, not stirred" last evening. A 7.2 shaker in the Gulf of Alaska. Brief tsunami alert, no mention of major damages.
