That's a JPar special right there.
He had some theory how much better it would be if he used one color like red for all the positive wires.
John's got beer!I got a beer
I heard that works great for securing wiring...I have some contact adhesive spray.
Got one that is attracted to sharp objects. LOL. The others are all normal teenagers. Their leader is nice but doesn't really fully appreciate the two sides of safety. Asked her to print out the emergency response plan, never did. Here's anotehr one - which I ran into before. The SCA is big on safety glasses and gloves. OK. So three kids have prescription eyewear. She tries to get the kid to wear regular safety classes over her 'script glasses. Major fail. Two days later, still no over glasses or some other solution. Same with Deet for ticks. Didn't bring any. Fortunately a roving leader was with us Thursday and she was prepared. Of cours eI bought extra jsut in case.I got a beer says that is nowhere near the last item you will purchase before you are thru. I just think it is very cool you are doing it. That is a lot of time and frustration commitment for sure. While it will be terribly frustrating at times rest assured you are creating a life long memory for the students. And who knows you may light a passion In one of them to pursue a career using their hands. My biggest fear would be trying to keep them all safe, you are herding cats with sharp tools and elevation, what could possibly go wrong?
Given no power tools (mostly) can’t the scrip eyeglass kids just put on side shields and be good? Seems like that would be a equitable solution?Got one that is attracted to sharp objects. LOL. You're applying logic.Given no power tools (mostly) can’t the scrip eyeglass kids just put on side shields and be good? Seems like that would be a equitable solution?
My last job was OK with just using side shields on my glasses for general daily tasks. I would still put on safety glasses or face shield if stuff was gonna be flying -cutting, grinding etc.Given no power tools (mostly) can’t the scrip eyeglass kids just put on side shields and be good? Depends how much they are actually doing. I often put gloves on to avoid blisters. Although I managed to get one with them on the other day. You're applying logic.
Yup side gaurds would do it as far as I'm concerned
I'm not helping enforce any of their blanket rules. If the kids can't see what they are doing, or can't use a tool properly because the gloves don't fit or are too grippy, then that's not safer.
I don't see why gloves are needed when swinging a maul or using a two man saw. Hands are no where near where they can get hurt.
Maybe less sampling before you give out the next ones.Well, we got our 50 year class reunion done last night. It was a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed themselves. I did a boo boo though. I bottled some bourbon samples for a couple from South Carolina and ended giving them to the wrong husband but all was good, my samples were to high proof for their liking anyway. Back to the drawing board. Now I will have to sample through many bottles to find just the right ones for them.

I had a few sips but the 2 hubbies looked similar and I had never met either before. As soon as I set the samples down on the table I knew I had made a mistake. It was too late by then.Maybe less sampling before you give out the next ones.
