Funny desert monsoon story. The Chevron I worked as a teen was on old Hwy 91 which was the route from LA to Vegas before I 15. Old desert roads were just a "Push the creosote, cactus, and tumbleweeds out of the way with the dozer. Take the blade to it and pave it." kinda thing. just down the street was one of those frequent low spots in the road, this one had a lot of ground draining into it. We watched this big monsoon building and heading our way. When it came it didn't fool around and dumped on us for about an hour. The low spot was filled and 3 or 400 feet of roadway was now a pond. This VW Bug came boogyin' past us towards the pond 
. That flat belly pan with all that momentum just planed that Bug right into the parking lot of the liquor on the corner

Nothing like getting knocked out by a goat on the last night of the fair.
Its going to be a hot one again today, think I will stay inside and do some deep cleaning, laundry and be lazy.

Can't do much yet this morning, wife is sleeping, but I did get the kitchen floor (tile) swep and moped, 3rd cup going down and enjoying watching my outdoor cameras.
Prognostication is off and on rain today but still making it to 90

97 today and clear, rain moves in tomorrow, thats what I seen yesterday, haven't checked if it has changed.
Yes worked there, actually retired from it. Did not care much for the unit. The flight crew though they were snake eaters. All they do is broadcast Radio and TV signals.
After this past week I'd take a 90.
Good morning. Didn’t check the weather today but Chris says 90 here so better than yesterday. We got zero rain, they got some good storms 30 minutes south. Even hail where my wife works
Just checked radar shows some rain in an hour
