Good. Maybe it will be a shorter heat wave here too.
I can deal with a couple days. Full week sucks.
Hey guys. Rough nite last . Simone was having a tough time breathing. Got thru it but I slept in till 930 this morning...
Do what you got to do. Nothing wrong with sleeping in to catch up after a long night.
K.. ordered the 3200stall 9.5". $50 off with promo code so 719 shipped.. not too bad..
Oh T.C.
almost went with the 3600 but i figure a bit lower is better than too high
Depends.
They used to say never go by the number. Call the converter people, tell them the setup as acurately as you can. Let them identify the t/c based on torque, hp and gearing.

I thought I was smart going to a tighter setup on the T/A T.C. in the 'cuda when I had them overhaul it.
Wrong!
There is less forgiveness in the tuning curves with a tighter converter.
It's a little bit like having a clutch the always engages a bit too soon.
As a result it was a major contributor to my long journey into timing and carburation.

yeah, problem is i don't know my final setup.. and i need a converter as i don't even have a stock one. Using a mild 318 to get the car on the road.. then hopefully next summer a 408 will replace it. So.. mild 318 i'm figuring 2700-2800 and the 408 3500-3600... will see though. Taking me forever to get this thing going.. getting close though..

BTW... friend wants to go camping next weekend so i picked a place 5 hours away.. which happens to be 30 mins from a guy with a '65 one year only trans i need to have a slip yoke and get rid of the flange:) so.. make it worth the trip

So wait until you know more. Pretty expensive.
Same converter will 'stall' at different speeds depending on the torque and load.

100 percent.....Bought my 69 Vert, built already with a semi hot 340 in it. Just added a PCV and cross over exhaust, Was ***** to tune after that. Convertor was so tight, it was right on the edge of having to be replaced...

Does he also have the stock converter by chance?

messaged you . forgot the saws.
Just saw that.
Well you had someone waiting for you.
Next visit to your place or youse to down here.

Got an appoint for PT at Vincera on Tues
Those are the folks who did the hernia surgery and PT. Top Notch. Worth the cost.

Thurs to see the ortho doc in Chelteham- so maybe then.

he doesn't... does have a 3.91 sure grip for $150 though.. needs a rebuild.. i won't be picking it up though.. the 9.5" will be fine.. much better than stock no matter which setup i use :)

Yeah I’d say this tank is shot

That’s not bad at all. I wouldn’t be booing that timeline
True that. A converter like that is pretty much custom built. If you would have one of everything they built in stock there would be lots of $$$$ in inventory just setting. Leave that for warehouses like Summit.

Office aparrently wont clean itself. So i went and got ice to keep porky cool overnight, and an extra (full) propane tank. Guy tried to give me an empty one.
No, i said. I think my empty weighs more.
$30 for a bbq tank….

ok sounds good.

how old is that?
No clue. A buddy of mine gave it to me a couple years back during that squatter situation. I’m guessing at least 60-70. Maybe from the 1950s going from the set up. Either way, it’s toast . Rusted out at the weld.

Thinking of just breaking down for my own big Husky Compressor
