Stop in for a cup of coffee

Well, taking a break...

Helped youngest kid fix the leaking trans lines on the 68 Valiant... :steering:

Then tightened up the brake lines and bled the brakes on the 71 Valiant (not necessarily in that order...)...

Now for a shower to get all the crap off of me and out of my hair from laying on the ground.... :(
Hair ??

Yep, with my neck issues, I sometimes have to rest my head on the ground to keep my neck muscles from getting sore...

It's an old injury from getting rear ended at over 90 MPH on the highway 30 years ago....

It's good to feel clean.... :D

Good evening folks!

I managed to get all of the metal sign garage art hung today including the vintage Yuengling one I picked up this afternoon from the owner of my local beer distributor. They really change the feel of the garage.

Been very Blessed with the Commercial Properties I own. I have the Occupant pay the property taxes.
Well that's my problem. I have other properties also and do the same. The new tax increases will put the rent out of reach for my tenants.

Making some more progress on my "Man Cave".
Over the last week, I have gotten all of the electric, phone (4 pair CAT5) and data lines (4 pair GigaSpeed), and tv coax installed.
I have the back wall sheeting installed.
Shawn (spl440) came up today and helped me get the windows and all of the shop side sheeting hung.

Here are a few photos of the progress:

Moving right along Herb. Keep us updated on the progress. Especially the first beers!

Dang, what a perfect night! Sitting on the patio enjoying a Titos and tonic!

F'ing Philly taxes. :BangHead:

I work at the Navy Yard Corporate Center and my income tax from the City is more than the from the State of PA!

I wouldn't go anywhere near the City or spend a dime there if I didn't have to go there for work. They keep raising taxes and adding new ones then they wonder why they can't get businesses or people to stay in the City or even get anyone to shop there.

The Navy Yard Corporate Center is a special tax free zone for Corporations, but not employees. Once they finish building it up, they will repeal the tax incentives for the businesses and then wonder why when they eventually abandon the place.

Philly mentality is to incentivize to get businesses in to develop a spot and then tax them to death forcing them to abandon it and destroy the spot back right back into blight.

Still raining heavy here. It started about 4 pm and hasn't let up. At least it's fairly warm and not windy so I can have the garage door open.

I'm sitting inside it and enjoying a few frosty Coor's Extra Gold Lagers while I admire the new art work on the walls.

Yep kaverner had a deal with the city and state I guess about a dozen years back at the yard. No taxes. They agreed to buy all materials to build ships from local merchants. Then they got caught trying to skate around it. They claimed some items couldn't be bought local. Guess who owned the foreign companies that supplied them. Clue it begins with a K. As soon as that was stopped they pulled out.

I like to collect the Jenney stuff but it's really hard to find.

My Grandfather had a Jenney Station for most of his life in Derry N.H. and I used to love spending time there as a kid. I even found this old photo of his station by chance taken by the Jenney corporation back in the late 1940's when they were documenting all of their franchises.

I have a large print of it made from the original glass negative found in an estate auction and rescued by a collector of vintage gas station memorabilia. The detail in the actual print is incredible.

I think that I found the original distributor for the Superbird today!!!!   :usflag:

It is the one for the Superbird!!! :D

I copied the part number down and it's the same as listed in the 70 service manual... :BangHead:

That looks like a 440 dual point distributor to me....
