Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hope you guys had a good day.. I was curious, i rarely sell anything but my last mopar was a 71 challenger bout 25 years ago and someone gave me some emblems and i forgot bout them and just found them in a bag in a cupboard. Pretty sure they are OEM but not sure if anyone was knocking them off around 1998. Worth trying to sell or are repops cheap?

Never been on anything, mopar logos and part#'s on the back and all that.

I think they look great, definitely worth selling them.................

cool, will figure what they are worth and maybe throw em on ebay... On my challenger i had a six-pack hood with 440-sixpack emblems that the same person gave me.. I ran over my R/T hood.. what a fun day :) Never set a lift off hood in front of the car :)

Well another day cutting road up top. I probably made it another 100 yards before my body gave out! Slow going by yourself. Making sure I don’t get hurt is primary focus, I get impatient and use the bucket so I get some serious branch back lash on occasion! And the dumb roll bar is behind and above me so it catches on everything and breaks limbs which drop on my head! Smart guy would wear a hard hat! But just poured this and it makes everything better!

Where does the decal go question. Figure you'll provide a non-snarky response
FABO certainly is pretty unfriendly to people interested in restoration details. Sometime even just discussing how things were originally done.

Welcome to my world!!!!!

Treed!

Today I went to install the U-joints and not only are the cross-shafts longer than the Spicer 1310 that came out, the yoke ears are sprung inward, one pretty visibly.

Parts store shop guy was actually pretty helpful. He thought heat was the only way it could be fixed without cracking. Of course someone at a sister shop hasn't returned his O-A set so he couldn't do it.
Now that may not seem helpful but knoweldge is - and my regualr mechanic may be able to do it or send me to someone.

The real insight was how he avoids this situtation. instead of using a press or clamp he puts the shaft in a vise and punch through the end cap and jeeps punching until the opposite end cap has moved. Then goes the other way.

My thinking is the books assume the joints will get regreased. But lets be real. Not likely when they are to the point they need replacing. Better off destroying the caps then getting in this bind. Counter guy told me this is the only place he's seen it done this way but makes sense to him too.

Spent many a cold night wearing an RD-2 jacket and curled up in a threadbare wool emergency blanket while people walked around in "not real" overcoats based on the Federal Infrantry overcoat, just made out of some synthetic thing that looked like EAC

I get it

And I'm a dork for even writing that

Oh lets not go there. I definately lean toward hardcore, as the revwar reenactors were calling it, progressives. I think that's were the value is - experimental archeaology and sharing those insights. That's how I see reverence for the past and how to honor those who we can not ever really know. Not some make beleive show.

Think a shot in it would make it even better. (from way back in my drinking days, called that a Jack wacker.)
