Stop in for a cup of coffee

Put my passport on my work truck today even though I have an enhanced drivers license as we have a communications site in Point Roberts. To get there I have to go into and across Canada then back down into US Territory so 4 border crossings in one trip ugh! Have a Great Day All!
Them border guards can get grumpy when you only cross border for a short time. Buddy was in the states for 45 minutes to pick up a piece of farm machinery. Border patrol wasnt buying it. Boss was following the semi and had all the paperwork but still-held them up for a while.

Yeah I thought everyone used a vice, a small sledge and whatever socket was closest.

I went to the doctor yesterday for my shoulder. It had been bothering me for several months. It doesn't have pain just aches after doing something like golf, weights, lifting stuff, yard work etc... I'd pop some ibuprofen, heat and wake up good the next morning. It just seemed to linger on for months so sought the doctor. He agreed it was more likely inflammation and not a joint issue. I'm going to try Voltaren an over-the-counter pain cream for 10 days and see what that does. If that doesn't work, then physical therapy. Hopefully it clears up.

Good luck

Just drive to the southern border, it’s wide open for all. And even if the guards happen to show up, they just let you in without any need for paperwork anyway

I have a seal driver set. Only use it when it is on a engine in a area that is hard to get to. Kind of like a expansion plug installer, never use but once in a while......

Already have a pm going with him. Interesting question actually. Do not think there is a written answer to it. I think I know who might know the answer though. I get the restoration guys and try to help them out when I can. One of my good customers is getting his car judged this week by David Wise this week, not cheap. Found a ton of nos parts for him in the past. Some serious unobtainable stuff. Great example just found him the NOS wire from the e advance to the solenoid on the carburetor. I am in the wrong business!

One of his reports.

Friend is paying 4K for the re-inspection again! After fixing the found issues
I know I'm not playing on the same field as these real restorations. The problem I ran into on my build is no one makes stickers and decals for 87 Diplomats, but they do make stickers and decals for 76-78 mopars. So now its just purely malicious. I'm using all kinds of the wrong decals. I even thought about putting plymouth badging on it just to make it an obvious troll

I feel your pain. Literally. I use Blue Emu (or the generic Emu oil) It is a anti inflammatory and it seems to work.

I don't consider mine painful just annoying. When I do things golf, workout, etc...it doesn't bother me until I'm done like an hour later. Just that inflammation feeling. Hard to sleep sometimes at night lucky, I guess that's all it is.

Sounds like your stuff or that Blue Emu may work.

You mean you’ve never done it that way?!?!
I actually can't even remember the last ime I changed a u-joint, Might have used a bench vise or an arbor press - I just don't remember, but don't think there was any punching through. Put a new driveshaft in the Barracuda over 20 years ago and it came with the u-joint installed. A nieghbor broke that vise doing a u-joint didn't take the clips out IIRC. sigh.

They're made of aluminum or something pretty soft. Use them installing bearings when I can. Never would have budged the U-joint. When it came out is was fighting the press. Pop! and move 1/16 and then repeat.

Just got to work. All is good now..... well, other than now I am at work.

There is a guy that worked in the shop at the local driveline shop that got hired by the Freightliner dealer to make driveshafts for trucks. I dropped off my driveshaft for a couple new U joints and a balance. It was fun to watch him. he spread the jaws on his big Wilton vise and beat the u joint out with a 4# hammer. A few love taps and it was out.

Ever do a trunion joint? There fun getting the cross shaft out of. Then they have to be centered to .005 Only real way to replace the boot right.
