I am playing my music loud sipping a toddy in the dust bowl ( Joe Bonamassa) while I wipe down a weeks worth of training aids students used. Can’t you hear the jams! I be rocking it!
Cheers! I poured one but I haven't sipped yet. Just not in the mood. Been on my feet too long today. Waiting for the Ibuprofen to kick in.

We just watched him live on his farewell tour, he can still rock. Turn the page is iconic!
San Diego Sports Arena. All the lights were out except the little ones along the aisle ways. Alto Reed started playing an extended intro to Turn the Page in the dark. Finally a spot light came on as the rest of the band began, Alto was standing atop one of the speaker towers, 30' above the stage.  :D

This is my down day, students are all gone I got nuthin left in the tank. But got to clean up a weeks worth of crap from the class. I put music on, get comfy, pour a toddy and grab an oily rag and have at it! Each student handled every firearm multiple times demonstrating how to load , unload and clear malfunctions. A lot of instructors have them do that aspect virtually utilizing theater of the mind and have the instructor candidate verbally explain each step. I just think it is better to hand them the rifle with some snap caps and say show me! Until you can preform a tangible exercise with your hands you ain’t got it! So yes perhaps I may have started a wee bit early today!

Did the same in Fargo

Gave ya goosebumps didn’t it? It was that good. Instantly I was a teen, parked, listening to my cassette tape Night Moves or Live Bullet in the dark doing …..Well whatever a teen may do!
I think music is amazing that way, so powerful it can literally transport you to a different time and place. Perhaps why I listen to music all the time yet today? Just a great concert.

The wildfire smoke is rolling in. Strange color of blue sky out there.

Rebel Cask Strength is tasting a little harsh tonight so I slipped in a ice cube,
which I never do, but it is tasting more mellow.

on our way home...no records for us, but did get a B license for up to 200mph

Breaking those records has got to be tough but it's the journey that is the win. That's a beautiful shot. Seeing a streamliner rolling down the highway on a open trailer has got to be a rush.

Been another busy day. Put a windshield in a semi and building a hitch for the old truck to tow a flatbed trailer with 20 kids hanging of the truck and trailer for a parade on Friday. Never hauled anything with it before but it is a 1.5-ton truck so I'm guessing the old geezer should handle it.

Hello FABO,

(Remember I am a babbler, if you don’t want all the unnecessary details, skip to the end section 2). Apologies.)

1) I have an exciting announcement. After much deliberation and several band meetings… the family and I, with my dads blessing, have come up with what we believe to be our family car group name, (hope we don’t step on any toes) it’s just for fun so the family members that aren’t exactly wrenching are still involved…

my oldest, Ruby, age 11, came up with the idea… we wanted to stay in the theme of “resurrection” and or “zombie” or “afterlife” we tried “dead fish” or “fish bones” and so on in a creative and humerus poke at the story of our Barracudas story having lived and died and was then or is being, revived… if you’re familiar with our story…

After many attempts at coining a catchy and applicable theme… my daughter came up with this… “what if grandpas car is actually kind of like a ghost?… something that once was, then left or disappeared and came back as a spirit?” … after she drew the Mopar Maniac on our driveway, please enjoy the pictures… she continued with the idea that the little green monster aka the “Mopar Maniac” was a perfect example…

I asked her if she could show me what she meant… she drew a “ghost” version of the maniac operating a mopar car of her imagination… and after many rough drafts and creative thinking, sticking to theme of rat rods, junkyard cars and the like, my youngest, Penny, age 6, suggested that cars that are forgotten or sit and wait for restoration were ghosts in a graveyard of cars… and she called them “rusters” … we then threw “ghost” at it… and it stuck!

2) Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and children of all ages… we are proud to present our new family car group name….

We are the
*****GHOST RUSTERS*****
(dramatic fan fare and applause!)

Not sure if it’ll get us in any trouble or cross anyone not having a trademark or anything, but I’m hoping it doesn’t need to go that far, it’s a harmless and fun thing to do for the family.

I am so proud of my daughters and wife for getting into it and making it fun and personalized. My dad loved the idea. Just another portion of the car culture having something there to offer everyone something to enjoy.

Hope you guys like it! I’ll be changing our profile picture and name over to the Ghost Rusters once I figure out how.

Thanks everyone in the FABO for your support and feedback! All the best and happy wrenching! (The girls names the ghost “Tinker”)
