Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hello guys...this is a day I'll remember. This first part was really good, my friend in Atlanta helped me out with the Fury.

Then driving home, I got the news, my Dad fell asleep in his chair, and did not wake up. I guess the sadness will hit me, right now I am grateful he did not have pain and he is free from the sad and worsening state he was in.

The Moon was up in the late afternoon, resting on the surface is a data recording box he built. But that was only one of his many accomplishments during his lifetime, now he moves to a new chapter.

Sorry to hear about your dad, David...

At least he went peacefully and painlessly, no suffering.

Condolences to you and your family...

So sorry to hear this news Mr. David, your Pops is in my prayers that he is in a better place with Mr. Jesus Sir comforting him from the top.

I hope you can stay strong and stick around here in your time of sadness.

David, please accept my deepest condolences. We have shared the trials of caring for our fathers in their fight against ALZ and dementia and I deeply feel your pain.

I can only share that I genuinely pray that my father eventually passes as peacefully as your father has. In an odd and somehow healing way, you are both free now.

He of the mortal coil of restriction of mind, and you of the burden of being dutiful caregiver. As things have passed, it was the kindest gift of all for both of you to have it conclude this gently.

Stay well my friend, it is the only way to honor the life he had and the gift of a gentle passing.

Sorry to hear about your dad.

I lost mine a few years ago, but know this;

Your dad will live on in your heart & memories. I still see things that remind me of my dad all the time, so I always look up & say 'Hi dad!

Hugs for you & your family.

Thank you so much for the kind support. My sis and I do thank him for the skills and wisdom and the unusual ways he had of teaching them to us. It was only this last time I visited him, that he really seemed not himself, and I felt so bad for him. We did not imagine he would be leaving us quite this soon.

For you now he will forever be "The Man in the Moon". :)

My deepest sympathies and prayers to you and your family my friend. Sounds like he was an amazing guy, wish I'd had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest eternally in peace.

hey ya Chris - you're up early again
Yeah. Looks like I'm back to the random can't sleep due to nightmare bullcrap.

And no, it's not ptsd. I just have the nightmare for days on end at random points. Eventually it stops.

Condolences for your loss David. Having recently lost my father I understand how bittersweet it can be.
