Stop in for a cup of coffee

When you evacuate you really want to get the old oil out, doubt anyone has a micron gage but it basically told you when the system had all the oil and Freon completely out. In your case yo would want to leave the vacuum pump on (after it reaches 30) for a half hour to burn the oil out.

Get new o rings or a new gasket for the compressor, re using them is not a good idea.

Shittttt! at 100 buck a pound and 9 pounds to charge my unit.... you're looking at a g-note in a hurry... and that's before any repairs or labor... even my massive $137.76 bank account wont cover that!
Is that your house HVAC?

and thank goodness it's rechargeable!! now if i can just a bit more amperage out of it...
The only way to get more amperage is to increase the gauge of the conduit to get more current flow.

In other words, you need a bigger diameter "rod".
