Mine. It's a old truck with a bad transmission. If everything worked it might be worth $5000. It might take me $3-4000 to make it all good. I might just take it to the salvage yard and cash in.so what happens with the truck? is it yours or the companies?
yea - that's what I thought I remembered - there's never a good time for transmission trouble (huh Chris!?!) but dang - talk about crappy friggin' timingMine. Ive been driving manual vehicles since i was 6 years old...... over 2 decades driving clutches, its not the driver.whoa - either they are really shitty or you need to learn to drive a standard... (or quit hammering on the thing)
the first two clutches were done by the dealer under warranty, last one by me, 2 of the clutches were Mopar Brand, the last one was a Sachs brand heavy duty clutch. no clutch riding hereThat's not directed at you, but why is the car going through so many??? I'd be asking the repair shop what quality of parts are they using???
Or someone driving it is riding the clutch and burning it up....

What kind of vehicle is it? I have seen clutches on some of the late model vehicles. It's a wonder they work at all. Not much to them.the only thing i can think of is a faulty throwout bearing causing the clutch to ride on itself. I've changed it each time. but its plastic and every time the clutch has gone out, the throwout bearing has been in multiple pieces when the trans is dropped

Any of these look good? 2008 JEEP WRANGLER 3.8L V6 Clutch Release Bearing | RockAuto2008 Jeep Wrangler
clutch shafts? There are upgraded clutch shafts out on e bay also.
timken is what is in it now. with a Sachs clutch. I've used LUK before on a different vehicle and didn't like it. I'm leaning towards that centerforce, those ones you linked look essentially like stock clutches. I think an upgrade is needed. check this one out Centerforce Jeep Wrangler Dual Friction Clutch DF098391 (07-11 3.8L Wrangler JK) - Free ShippingI always like timkin myself. Ask on FTO what is good they have a jeep section, good group over there.
I bought the Timken from rock auto last time.Any of these look good? 2008 JEEP WRANGLER 3.8L V6 Clutch Release Bearing | RockAuto
Dang, I'm not helping much here. Hopefully the T/O bearing won't be the issue this time. Hydraulic so no adjustment I presume.I bought the Timken from rock auto last time.
