Staycation...

corporate amerika's way to try to put a positive spin on the fact that they do not pay you enough to go away on vacation and you should just be happy to have the time off and stay home...

when the CEO's fly all over the country/world on the company's dime...
Yep, my CEO is in New Zealand right now for the week "on business".

And I was worried about saying mount the tire so instead I said put the tire on. Then along comes Karl!
Unless you are crystal clear and say "I will put the tire on the wheel at work and then I will install it on the car when I get home" you have no hope...and maybe not even then.

Yeah, this is a tough crew for sure! Just one of the reasons I keep coming back here!

My 12 hour day turned into a 16 hour day. I just finished a back and forth e-mail correspondence with our vendors in Australia that has been going on since I got home.

I started with e-mails at 6 am and just finished with them at 10 pm, with 8 hrs of site visits and in-office time in between.

I need a vacation.

The price isn't bad even with the shipping. Some risk involved for sure. Should I put a 360 in my Swinger? Opinions from friends please.

No reason not to... Keep the original engine on the side for originality later...

Plus if you blow the engine, it won't be the original and ruin a numbers -matching set...

The torque of a 360 in that light body will be nice... :steering:

I like the way you think Karl. Keep talking guys.

I like to build my own to make sure that there are no short cuts and it's done right...

Eddy fully understands my philosophy, he's the same way... He bought a "rebuilt" 69 340 for his car, and we tore it down to the short block and found some cheapo stuff: the timing chain was a metal gear single row, the valve seats were not hardened, the cam the guy put in it was smaller than a stock 360 2 bbl cam... He interpreted "stock" rebuild loosely... Yeah, a stock 318 chain and cam...

Luckily Eddie listened to me and we corrected everything when we built it back up... My head guy went through his heads, we put a nice cam in that RustyRatRod recommended which was close to what my head guy recommended (just one step off), and we put in an Edelbrock true roller double roller timing chain...
