Stop in for a cup of coffee

Cool beans, I love Chicago, used to get up there a bit when I was at a school after boot camp at Grate Lakes Training Center.

Hey, Yo... Mitch is back in da house!

Good thing you got back in. I heard its a pretty big no fly zone with the Pope in town. Some of our big wheels were here Wed and only stayed one day so they wouldn't get stuck here.

Sep 30 for a week. I would go but I have no money so I would be the kid looking into the candy store! Was just wondering who would be in the area. By the way good morning.

I do believe he went wed to get a bike. We were going to meet up but he hit a lot of traffic.

I don't think I ever did the fall one. I assume its similar to spring. if so, not much Mopar. Was at that one a couple years ago. I do like fall Hershey. Lot of antiques, but some of everything.

I never did any before the spring one. Funny when you live somewhere and do not see the local sites!

I have to be mechanic today. The alternator is toast in my tool truck. I drove all day yesterday without it working and it was smelly by the time I got home. It's not too bad to get to and one of the local parts stores has them in stock. I also need to adjust my parking brake and replace a near broken exhaust hanger. I also got in some gas tank straps for my son's Dakota that I can put on this afternoon. Dang, I better get busy. I have a lot to do! LOL
Have a good Friday.

They're all good shows. i do enjoy looking at the other makes. Especially the early stuff. Just a needle in a whole bunch of haystacks if you are looking for parts for your Mopar. i found a few thing at Hershey, but nothing like the big Carlisle Mopar only in July. Not sure if fall is the same crowd as Spring, or if its the guys that come to Hershey Fall with antiques- which I believe is the following week.

Its a big show.. Here's the aerial photo from '09

Looks like parking is $15 but no admision $.

I just found the Superbird keys!!!

I had just scheduled a locksmith to come out tomorrow and make a new set of keys. Decided to go in the master key drawer and scrounge around for all of the old Mopar keys, and I found the keys to the Superbird. Now we can rearrange the back garage!!! :glasses7:

We used to keep them in the car. But only had one set.

I must have taken them to get copied, as there was one extra ign key and 4 spare trunk keys. They obviously ran out of ignition keys when I went to get them copied...

I will get some more copies of the ign/door key now...

We originally thought that someone put them in the trunk, and someone else closed the trunk... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :violent1: :violent1: :violent1:

seems like wally world doesn't stock the key blanks for the mopar ignition anymore ....every time I try to make copies, they want to use a stupid GM style key blank.

I don't like that even though my dad laughs at me and says it doesn't matter what the key looks like as long as it works.......then I get quiet because I wont argue but YES IT DOES MATTER. I don't want a key that looks like poo poo even if it does work .....I WANT IT DONE RIGHT!!! lol

I very much agree. Locals have the right shape blank, but no pentastar. Bought some on ebay and took to Ace to get cut.

Dang, I was working on vehicles all day (I am beat). I replaced the alternator on my tool truck as well as a idler pulley and a ball valve heater hose shut off. Things were going so well I texted my son and had him drop off his rusty 2000 Dakota that had a broken fuel tank strap. Well 6 hours later and fighting it every step of the way, I finally got it bolted together. You really need to remove the tank to install the straps. Tough to do on the driveway with a floor jack. Long story short, the rear strap I had to tweak to get it installed and I must have poked a hole in the plastic tank. Leaks. Sucks. I'll have a friends shop fix this one. My new motto: Make the call............write the check! lOL
