Stop in for a cup of coffee

Thanks, Karl, that is very fascinating. You just wonder how they know to do these things.

Today I ventured out to run errands, there is standing water everywhere you look. I'm thinking the mosquitos are coming and it's not going to be pretty. I haven't heard anything on the news and something tells me our county is not prepared to do anything.

If the water is agitated enough, the mosquito eggs/larvae can't survive. That's why they put the fountains in the ponds/lakes to make the water rough enough to kill them off.

My mom was on the neighborhood association board for her neighborhood and she used to see if the fountains were working in their lake. They ran them from sun up to sun down, and shut them off at night to save electricity (it can get $$$). Just running them during the day was enough to keep the mosquitoes from breeding...

Hopefully the flood waters will pull back fast enough to agitate and kill any mosquitoes...

Hey Ray. Checking other sites and info on a bastard random cyl missfire Tahoe I have here. 3 days now, stiill havn't found it.

I HEAR YOU, YOU GET THEM SOMETIMES. Sorry caps lock courtesy of a skidmark! LOL. I was looking for a sending unit only for the tikey truck fuel gauge and could not find one after two dats, just opened it up and bent the wiper into position.

I told the customer it needed cat's and a tune up. $$$ later Didn't fix it. Yesterday I changed intake gaskets. Didn't fix it :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Sets a po300 random missfire only after driving up to 2000 rpms. Been checking all available forums on this also. Very frustrating.

Gonna smoke test the intake, looking for cracks, today. Also looking into crk pos senser and map sensor

Morning, people.

Major disappointment when I went to pick up my package and it wasn't there. Postal service screw-up.

Bummer.

I'm in no way good at these things but could that misfiring be electrical? Oxidization in connector somewhere?

After some research, apparently , this PO300 is a common problem on these vehicles, but finding the culprit proves difficult. And varies as to fix.

Got some more ideas for today, if the customer doesn't get fed up and come get it.

That's too bad. You're 8 hours behind me if you're in IL making it 1:20 am, right?

Sorry to leave you hanging, I was able to get to sleep then, just waking up now...

That was at 2:20 AM my time...

Hello everyone.... :hello2:

Good morning, that sucks, a mis-fire that's so hard to diagnose.

Life is getting back to normal here, they are finally re-opening the restaurant today. But I'm off today!:banghead:

It's sunny, but it's going to be a while before these big pools of water are gone. And, get this, there's a "mass" of water heading downstream from all the flooding inland, and since no one has seen flooding this bad, they don't know what to expect. I'm thinking during high tides, we will see higher water levels where the river meets the ocean where I live. And new flooding in some areas, hopefully not here.

Mother Nature dishes out trouble wherever you live, I didn't think about the effect of the weather when I moved here. I was just so glad to get out of Atlanta...locals haven't forgotten Hurricane Hugo.

Watching 3 young deer seeming to play hide and seek across the way, it's great to be alive!
