Stop in for a cup of coffee

Karl, I was going through the weird sleep cycles a few months ago, now I am in the sleep late cycle! LOL

Hmmm the river is supposed to crest at the end of the week, think I'll lay in some supplies just in case the road floods again.

My sleep schedule is all turned around, with so much time off...

Well looks like the final mech part for the tikey truck will be here today! Fuel pump and I can get the tank in then start pulling the trans from the pop, finish painting, getting the house ready for winter then................

It wouldn't hurt to be prepared....

You may think about getting a gun to protect your supplies, or like Bill states below, you're just gathering supplies for the toughest guy on the block - LOL!!! :D

For a quick laugh...

Pretty cool! Get-r-Dun....

The oldest boy and I degreed a couple more cams yesterday, now we have 11 completed with measuring, now I have to catch up on entering the info in a spreadsheet. :evil3:

But it's nice to be making progress, we're almost halfway through the "pile"... :D

Any of you guys have a junk 3/8 thread shifter knob around? I need one for the transfer case lever and was going to use a beer tap (imagine that) But I think it will break when Marilyn gets pissed at it.

The youngest son started working at the dealership yesterday as a porter. He loves it!

He took a picture of a 1100 HP corvette that a customer brought in the shop for service. He didn't get to drive/park it as since it was his first day, the other porter pulled rank on him and drove it himself... (pecking order....)

But it was pretty cool. They installed like a "window" in the hood so you could see the engine with the hood closed...

He's excited about his new job, it's more per hour than his grocery store job, he gets more hours (29 per week), and he likes it better as he gets to see/try the different cars...

But he says that some of the cars are very cluttered inside... Some people have alot of junk in their cars...

MOPARTS! That's where you get it all!

Dam Karl how much "good stuff" you have?

I have close to 30 camshafts for small blocks. :violent1:

I can swap them out when I feel I need "something more"... :farao:

It's nice to have a "rainbow" of parts to choose from... :color:

Plus, I like to have a spare or two in case I break one and need a back-up.... :glasses7:

(I'm a pack-rat/hoarder...) [but at least I can own up to it...] :D

Karl, That vac gauge I got from you works great for the vac pump, I need to find a bezel for it or make something.

That's great.

It's a sweet gauge, I sometimes regret not keeping it, but you are putting it to good use...

I figured that since it was built in the "good ol days" when made in the USA meant quality, it would be better than what you can buy today (chinese crap...)... I can't believe that I found it...

My great grandpa started a tool and die business in his garage back in the day. In WWII, he got enough business to move to a small shop, which I believe was real close to where that gauge was made. My grandpa and uncle ran the shop after great grandpa died, but my uncle and grandma closed it down in the 90's.

It is my base Gauge I use more for a tool, I have to make sure I can get iyt out easy after it is in the car. Old quality!

Looks like you and me are left. How did the headhunter work out?

I'm lurking between work and more work. I guess you aren't going to Hershey?

She seemed pretty agressive and I hope that she can come up with some leads for me...

But as usual, it's wait and see...

Meanwhile, I've been combing the job sites myself to keep looking. Can't rely on someone else to find me a job, the best one to do that is me....
