Wow wonder the route he has to take?

Probably have to use the 3/4 inch rear spring relocation kit to keep front and rear wheels the same width 8 inch 5 1/2 Backspacing
down the rabbit hole we go. Don't you just love mission creep

he did. He put it on a pallet and his store declined it. Said it needed to be crated, so he made a quick crate from 1x4 pallet wood and took it back in
Really how was the request written? Never had a issue with anything, just the oil has to be drained. Still not a bad price.

it was never written, just what the store manager told him. Said it had to at least have a frame around it or it wouldnt be insured

So no 3pl request? I had that one fool drop off a test set in LA and it was refused till the paperwork was done, it was a test set so I talked to the guy at the store to hold it until the request went in, they would not ship it without it. I insure them all, wonder why it was different? I have to ask my guy he knows the process pretty well now.

I have a old snap on set from the 80's great set, tool man I am sure can point you in the right direction. Any specialty tools needed? IE compressors/pullers? I have no idea don't mess with them except to strip them for the cases.

not really. I've done 71 727 years ago, biggest issue I had was with the snap ring that held the tail case on.

You need spreader pliers for that, prob get one from HF that will work. Snap ring pliers would be a ***** on that. I have a old set rarely use them but when you need them you need them. Just like band cutting pliers!

How was it arranged then just dropped of and it is going here?
Same way you told me too in the pm. I submitted a quote, they contacted me with the form, I signed, paid on pickup. all he had to do was drop off.

I have not been to HF for so long ...I am overdue

I am in the mood to buy some tools and talk about tools.

My sears tool territory is another place I have not been through for a long time, last time I went through sears it looked like they were closing down because the tool shelves were looking so under stocked
