@halifaxhops man, you are right. I need to do a step by step write up on the pushbutton rebuild. There literally is none ANYWHERE even the trans rebuild book I have doesn't talk about it specifically

UFB !!!!!!! :BangHead::BangHead::BangHead: I have a 99 BMW 740IL here with a cold start problem. After researching the issue, I was gonna go start the car and check it out.
Wellllll... Guess what ??? NO KEYS !! One of the young guys here on Saturday, moved it , so he could do a brake job in my shop... Then he went to Cancun, Keys aint here anywhere, and his phone is on VM only....Just F'n GREAT !!!!!!!!! :wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf:

Wait. Gonna do mine (cable shift) at the same time. Mine is supposed to work. But im not interested in installing something i know will leak. And i want to see how these cables work. Park cable is stuck.
 
Do they have the same internals like the same roster tails and is just the shift mechanism different? Just curious.

Customer drove his jeep into shop,took his keys.i didnt realize til i was done the job.

Ray, i hooe you arent asking me,dont know a thing about them. As soon as i land a crankshaft i can get my block back together and start in on the transmission.
 
Still fighting studs out of cylinder head. Drill til i get up to 1/4” then whirl around with a carbide burr.
Open it up until stud loosens,then back it out. At least its 3/8” and cast heads.
