OMG, that would be epic!Coffee club cruise!
IF you had the fuel delivered to a tax exempt farm...Research facts before making claims.. Limits the number of people calling you a dumbass! Propane used to be fully fuel tax exempt here, and every farmer had propane trucks and tractors.. Made good economic sense then.
At the end of the year, yes. But when you buy it, the only tax you DONT pay is the road tax. You still pay the sales tax. I'd be more than happy to grab the fuel and tax records if you'd like... I do have first had experience with this subject.Ummmm...yeah there is. Farmers can claim a credit for all the taxes paid on gasoline and aviation fuel on their taxes.
“You can claim a credit or refund of taxes on fuel used on a farm for farming purposes. This applies if you are the owner, tenant, or operator of a farm. You can claim only a credit for the tax on gasoline used on a farm for farming purposes. You can claim either a credit or refund for the tax on aviation fuel used on a farm for farming purposes.”
Don't know, ours is tax exempt and we still get to pay the taxes in propane. Wonder if it's a state thing?IF you had the fuel delivered to a tax exempt farm...
It doesn’t matter when you get the money...it is still Tax exempt. At the end of the year, yes. But when you buy it, the only tax you DONT pay is the road tax. You still pay the sales tax. Not fully. The only thing that is allowed to be written off is the federal taxes. The state taxes on the fuel do NOT get written off. Though they can be counted on the business expense side IF they exceed a certain percentage, I think it's 2-3%It doesn’t matter when you get the money...it is still Tax exempt.
Don’t you have a direct line to Joey?

I wonder if that old Minneapolis Molines pulling tractor is still around. Ran on propane and was pretty dang competitive, won a few national titles with it but about every other time he pulled, thing would explode.
