So 410 rear by the way I read that gives you an o.d. of 356.
But you still have to factor in tire dia.

They are not cheap. I've had mine for over 15 years. Raced the he'll out of it blown clutches. Sheared an axle . Never a problem with the GV.
Just be prepared for more mods.
New drive shaft. Maybe have to modify floor.
They will tell you nice folks to deal with.

That's the one negative I have right now. I have 3.23 suregrip for the dart but with the T56 or the TR6060, both the 5th and 6th gears are overdrive. With 6th being like .58. So it's another reason I'm considering a Dana 60 rear instead and selling the a body rear.

It’s all about what the step down is in OD. If you are at 3.23, the step down will kill you. If you are at 3.91 or higher, it is perfect.
So a 3:23 would be 2:52 final in high gear. Too High?

Yeah, that would suck driving in OD. No balls at all. It would make it awful on the Highway trying to pass or compensate for grades. I wouldn’t want to be much less than 3.06 on the highway in OD. 3.91 rear minimum.

Don't forget... tire size plays a big part in final drive too. Basically, you want the RPMs to be about 2000 to 2500 for best efficiency at the speed you want to cruise in. As well as to pass

I already told you the correct rear gear ratio. For max performance with that trans for both on and off the track.

It’s not that simple. Your best cruising speed is related to the engine power band, not a random RPM.

Very true, that's just a basis that is the common band for "most" street engines

You can do the math. What will the engine RPM be at various final drive ratios? How much power will that give you?
I did, very low RPM.s Might not do anything, just wondering out loud...Thanks all....

But for 3 Grand, or more, there is not a better option? Then the GV?
Not really. Unless you wanna swap to a t56. I mean you could go to one of the 4 speed OD autos, but I'm not a fan personally just cause you'd have to have it built up to handle the torque of that 340 you have

408 stroker not a 340. over 500 FT lbs torque...
