Just got a message from my friend in Memphis that rents my house there. His wife pulled into the garage tonight and when she closed the door, the mounts ripped out from the wall. This door and all hardware was replaced just under a year ago. WTF?
He is calling the company that did the work tomorrow. We will see what they are going to do about it. This should never have happened, someone f’d the install.

Oddly enough, I just installed a new garage door tonight.. Replacing a 40 year old woiden door. And for the record, garage door replacement SUCKS ***! (and not in the good way)..

Or just clipped the edge of the stud more likely. Nearly a year of use and it finally failed. If it were just drywall, it wouldn’t have lasted more that a few days at most.

Yeah, no fun at all.
Mine got replaced because someone in a big truck apparently used the driveway as a turn-around and backed into the door denting the snot out of it about 5’ off the ground across 8’ of the double door width. They hit it directly on the seam between the top two panels and caved it in about 6”.
Of course, no one was at home when they did it so I ate the replacement.
Hope it works out and they fix it the right way.

Thanks. It is Memphis, so you never know what they will or won’t do. Service companies down there are flighty and play the CYA game a lot. Mostly I have been lucky finding good ones so I hope My luck holds.

Great morning! We have 59 degrees after our 87 degree heat wave earlier this week. Feels awesome. Looking forward to some racing this Sunday. Supposed to be 61 degrees blower cars gonna FLY.

I am going to work at getting my trailer out from the flooded mess. And Philadelphia is coming to visit. It is her Birthday so a nice evening out.
