I swung by the garage yesterday and tested the timing on the current setup. Took the box with disassembled distributor with me so I can work on them here. Working on a plan, pretty sure I know what I want to do on these now.

For 200 I'd do it . I priced out cheap autozone brand crap for the polara's front suspension and that is going to be over 600 though it does include new upper CAs
 
Matt, I am going to play around with a distributor for the truck to see if I can get better mileage. Sucks that it is a 318 and up high, PIA to get to it with all the emission's crap on it. Have a MP one that should be a good candidate for it, they never sell either so I have a few.

That will be interesting. Got any cards for a 67 truck 318?
The small blocks are a pain - need a lift off or reverse hoods! Slanties distributor locations was a bit of a pain too,
Can't beleive there's no interest in the MP ones!? The Chrysler built ones? That's the one I'm going to return to the way it was.
 
Just remembered I left the golf tee in the engine.
Its not going anywhere - I'll be finish the fuel line shielding this Saturday

If you have extra chrysler built MP distributors that are not moving, let me know, I'll buy one of those. The Mallory ones I don't like even though they're adjustable. That's whats on the car now. Took a lot of work to get it where its at, and its still not as good as the Chrysler built one had been.
 
Its cold again this morning,but supposed to warm up to near freezing (thawing?) by this afternoon. And above tomorrow with a dump of snow, forecasting 1 foot. Plow is staying on the truck i guess.

LOL thought you wanted it. No the truck is tuned right now to factory, just want a bit more MPG 10 sucks if I can get it up to 15 I would be happy. What mp you want sb?
 
What are you looking for matt? I got a almost NOS RB one that originally came from summit, has a pretty good curve in it no tags on it.
 
Matt what is the Mallory not doing for you I love them and plenty of ways to go with them.

Yes SB. No biggie _ I think I'm going to put mine back to original today.

Your truck - yea 10 is sucky but you've with the weather this winter didn't help.
On long trips my fully smogged '85 Wagoneer was getting close to 15 - that was with a very worn out AMC 360 & 727 transmission - highway gears though, 2.7 or 2.9 I forget.
Rebuilt engine hasn't been running good enough, long enough, but hoping to do a little better. Saw the fill hose to the tank was leaking yesterday - so that's not helping. another thing to do.
