i had a 2000 2 wd but I like the 96's better. I also have a white 2 wd that my youngest drives.

I filled up and drove 2 hours to visit Lon @lkopaska last week. I filled back up yesterday and got right at 18 mpg. Not bad for a 4 hour drive and combination driving. The white 2 wd gets 22 hwy. 3.9 v6's in both.

Nice I like those years there is a late 90's? R/T just sitting here on a neighbors needs some engine work it is his daughters would love to get that one, nice looking truck she just does not want to sell it yet. Finally ordered the wheel arch pieces for the Tikey truck would be nice to paint it this summer.

I was just looking up labor time to replace the timing chain and tensioner. Both trucks are noisy. The 3.9's did that.

Hey Chris, you deploy near here, we can get together!
i'm kind of married still Tim ... for now...:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: but perhaps I'll get to take you up on that

Sounds like at the moment, immediate coverage will be taken care of by the Texas and Arizona guard in their respective states, at least initially, they'll be relieved in rotations by other states just as they did in 2006(i volunteered for that one). California's governor has said he "might" consider filling the federal request(ultimate control over the national guard belongs to each state's governor and they CAN and HAVE overruled the POTUS's request for troops in the past) New Mexico's governor hasn't responded yet either way. So if those two states both decline, the odds of Indiana getting sent go up 10 fold as we're the 3rd largest guard in the nation currently(we flip flop with CA every other month for 2nd).

Purposely did not say "hook up"! :icon_fU::rofl:

I remember a dakota for sale near here that had T-tops.
Was cheap too,but it just wasnt my thing. Today would be a different story.

No chance for a Bromance!!!!
It is CA hahaha

Hey, need opinion. So to rebuild the entire from brake system with the stock drums on the polara, will cost me about 95 bucks IF I can re-use the one spindle which is rusty and that stuck on the thing. If I have to replace that spindle, that cost jumps to 200 bucks.

Option B: for about 225 (new rotors included) I can swap to disc brakes from an A body, I have everything BUT the spindles which are about 150-175 of that price

Option C: 275, swap to the big 11.75 inch rotors using spindles from a late 70s, early 80s F,J,M series.

You can't find disc brakes from a "B" body? They were very common....

i think there's something about the year and the spindle. 62-65 from what I've found are the same spindle as the A body disc spindle, just without the provisions for the caliber brackets

OEM out of a "free" junk yard. Abandoned. Maybe a 72 or so cop car.
I should probably do some disc's on both of my cars. Both have manual 4 wheel drum. My 66 still has the single reservoir master cylinder. LOL
