Stop in for a cup of coffee

OEM out of a "free" junk yard. Abandoned. Maybe a 72 or so cop car.
HMMM theres a TON of 3rd gen chargers in a junkyard near me, those should have all had disc brakes. I'll have to check into that one.

I should probably do some disc's on both of my cars. Both have manual 4 wheel drum. My 66 still has the single reservoir master cylinder. LOL
so does my polara.

did you notice a difference when you swapped to disc? Like a legit difference?
From Drum to disc? Are you jokin! that car could stand on its end with the braking power the disc had!! Thing could not stop more then one time with the drum without brake fade!! The single best upgrade to our old cars there is if you want to drive them in modern traffic.

BTW, I have a complete wilwood disc setup on my 69 that will be for sale soon.

I had fun last summer. Just a little brake fade. I used the 4 speed a lot.

This is the one I wanted. Note the sign at 15 seconds. lol

When it rains, it pours. Now a caravan with coolant loss and a misfire. Thousand plus...

My 64 Sport fury with the 426 wedge was a stoplight terror! WITH the disc brakes. Plenty or cars flew thru red light because they could not stop, hot brakes.

hmm well that settles that question then.

those are the types of roads I drive daily.

The wilwoods are coming off, the cobra 13 inch going on. Nothing wrong with the 11 inch Wilwoods, they just look small with the 17 inch wheels. They stop fine.

Lost me Mike. What do you want?
Down shift a 4 spd definately helps keep things brakes from overheating on the steep declines.. Even with a torqueflite, 2nd is good for that if the speeds aren't too high.
If you're getting fade, whether its brakes or drums; fresh brake fluid is number one, then find a more appropriate lining material for whichever end is smoking - or both. Some of the stuff sold for us in the parts stores is pretty sad - especially for the rear shoes. If there's no lining shops near you, Rochester Brake & Clutch is an option. Do you know the second letter on the edge code is the 'recovery' rating? if not, I've got run but here's an overview

LOl he was just referring to wanting a different video file!

And we used to grind 1" wide slots into the front shoes on the front end of the race buggy for less braking at that end .
Good morning.

I'm actually kind of hoping I get to go. Outside of flying into Dallas and Phoenix, I've yet to actually visit those states.

@Mopar Tim where's Colorado Blvd that they sing about in the little ol lady from Pasadena, is that in LA or Pasadena?

It's all good. I don't mind that being deleted. But a question about a real life road location?! Well a couple posts about it?!
