Stop in for a cup of coffee

Maybe one thing about buying at a swap is seeing it in person. Seeing it, looking it over, a person knows what they are getting.
We had a full spot most of fri and sat. I gave a kid a hood, trunk and glass from the belvedere I stripped was glad it went to a good home.

Shows are really not my thing. I've only gone once. There and back one day, although I did stay for dinner. See what the work and dog care situation is in July. My priority for car events is get on the track again and some autocross this year.
today I've got to see if I can figure out what's wrong with the wagon. I'm pretty sure its another valve spring collapsing.

I like shows. I get to see all the possibilities for external things and pick up a lot of information about how to do different things. Sadly my education for automotive items has been basics like rebuilding carbs and just general tune up items mostly. So it is an opportunity for me to talk to those wiser and more experienced. Like this forum but in person!

And I haven't rebuilt a carb since my 20s... so learning that all over again also lol. Gonna experiment on one of the holly carbs that was given to my sister when she got the Marlin.

All good things.

Duke got a call from Don's the re-chrome shop. Gave me a reasonable estimate to re-do the 67 hood inserts. They are six weeks out before they get to them. He said mine are in good shape and they'll make them look like new. I saw the work he did on my Chevy stuff, so I gave him a GO!!

Nice. let me know how they turn out if you would please. I'm gonna try to hit another junkyard this weekend to see if I can find a 440 that has better bezels. mine are in really bad shape comparatively speaking.
