Tool question guys. Is there different Torx for metric? Working on my VW yesterday and stripped two Torx fasteners. Was I using the wrong tool? I never stripped one before...

That is what I thought, then why the heck they strip out? Not good, I might not get them out in the future...If needed...
Was using a small cordless impact tool....
Got them for 800.00. Picking up Friday.

Was the bit a little bit twisted or distressed?
Did not appear to be, will replace them. BTW two different sizes stripped.
So what did you buy for 8 bills.

I've had issues with Torx wood screws and electric drivers. Often use the 1/4" ratshit and the appropriate socket.
Chris will pay me a Grand for them, in Carlisle.
Im not a fan of impact tools on small stuff.
Unless its a socket head. You need steady pressure or the often spin and strip.
I have better luck with a plain codless drill.
I just hope If I need to remove those two they come back out.
